i love that every guest comes in completely blind to wtf is going on and is constantly being taken aback, it’s always hilarious and so vital to the brand
@@Lunaxrose haha i definitely get that, but i kind of took it more as a compliment than an insult, like she was impressed by the effort brittany had gone through and that it was more than just a few chairs and a mic lol
When Brittany said "the glow you get when you leave the bathroom" and Charli said "yeah like a steam room vibe" we all know Brit meant sweating after dropping a fat bomb
My favourite part of this is that Charli XCX clearly had no idea what she was before stepping into the interview and clearly being like wtf is going on and just going with it
I feel like she was soooooo thrown off by the vibe at the beginning thinking this was gonna be a regular podcast. But she adapted and got comfortable and that’s why she’s mother.
I feel like Brittany is more of a woman's icon than a gay icon. She definitely has a great LGBT+ following, but it's mostly women or AFAB people. All the time I see other women/AFAB people thanking Brittany for her content, generosity, and humanity. She's not really hearing "YASS QUEEN SLAY!" as often as Charli is lol.
@@kyyomiloI think for most of the album it is very conversational, however ‘the Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree’ is a commonly used metaphor so it’s still very on the nose! It’s not as whimsical as a lot of artists
@@kt-nj2tt hey! So this is actually a common joke that Brittany and similar creators (such as Drew and her guests) often have in their content or comment sections! It's okay if you haven't seen it before, but it's common 'round these parts
There always was one really cool and edgy counselor that would create a safe haven for the weirdos and then you look at us now and everyone is gay !! But so true that Charli wouldn’t have that shared experience lmaoo
Shw doesnt seem like she's on covaine though and she would also have to redose halfway through to avoid clming down. I doubt she is on that in this. I know she does it, but i dont think she's on it here
I think that Brittany really made Charlie feel comfortable on the show, like you can sense her sort of relax as the interview goes on which was cool to see! Plus watching two fellow women have a laugh can cure any and all ailments
everyone saying that this interview was awkward clearly didn't stick around after 5 mins, they just had to get comfortable just as any two normal humans who haven't met before.
Speaking of gatekeeping artists, when I was in high school I asked this girl in my class what song she was listening to and she was like "oh, it's brand new and exclusive, you wouldn't know it" and she was refusing to tell me just for it to end up being love the way you lie part 2 by Rihanna. I think about that a lot.
i love that brittany creates a fun, safe, and comfortable space with silly interesting questions for celebrities. it must be a huge breath of fresh air to just laugh and have fun WHILE interviewing
i ADORE the straight women like these two who recognize and cherish their queer audiences. we know how awful it is to be not fully understood in a stupid world that takes so much shit seriously when that shit doesn't need to matter at all. we see the girlies in the media who reflect us and embrace us and we do not abandon them (unless you end up being a complete piece of shit, and even then, some gays still stan). thank each and every one of you for being the ally that we need and the good judy that we deserve.
This, but I also really love how Charli often has ambiguous lyrics when it comes to love. In many of her songs, she doesn't mention any gender or any gender-specific things in regards to the other person, thus making covers a lot more inclusive. She's a pretty chill songwriter.
The way Brittany approaches every guest with genuine delight is incredible. She makes everyone feel so funny and interesting and appreciated and you can tell it means a lot to her guests.
Seeing someone not sober around Brit when she’s usually a trixies drunk is such a funny video she’s a great host I hope she keeps allowing girls on lolll
I absolutely LOVE this! Brittany probably has some of the best interview questions. She has a way of immediately making her guests feel comfortable and excited to answer such fun questions. I love how much they vibed over Below Deck 🤣💀 I'm sure it's a breath of fresh air for these celebrities to not have to answer the SAME questions over and over again.
I saw Charli live when I was 15 like 11 years ago and they opened for Marina and the Diamonds. I've always been on this wave. Literally went to a bratpocolypse drag show last weekend. This is everything.
