@@omh20 I think that's the point. Everyone thought everything was the cutting edge back then, especially as little kids. Now we go back as adults and we're like Ew What The Fuck
The nostalgia trip is REAL. My grandmother bought me this game for my 6th birthday and I remember when I got home she played it with me because I was scared for some reason :/
The music is the only outstanding thing about this game. It could have easily been generic and forgettable but it's actually amazing, moody and atmospheric
Fireember345 nostalgia be like that sometimes, I though the same thing about a ps1 Harry Potter game until I found it on youtube and got a nostalgia trip from that.
Yeah...well kinda i remember seeing the cover lots of times on my local store but never actually played it, and well i wanted to see how the hell does a Willy Wonka game looks haha
I am 17 now and I remember playing it when I was 4 or 5 years old I was unable to complete it because one day I got robbed so thank you for this video I can now finally see how it ends
I just realized that the little cube candies are a reference to the book. They’re square sweets that look round. Little sugar cubes that turn to face you. That’s such a deep cut, I love it! And so it Wonka-Vite! In the book they call it Vitamin Wonka and give it to Mike after he shrinks!
@@Goodguy42 If you played the game as a kid and if you got up to the part where there's a bunch of those grabber bots with the unsettling battle music, that's made them creepy, it sent a chill down my spine for some reason like I shouldn't have been there to begin with
I played this game before back in like, 2008 or 2009, and I always got stuck behind the trucks and fences. I didnt get to go inside the factory 😭 I'm 15 now and let me tell you, even though I didnt even really play 10 minutes of it, that is probably my favorite game EVER alongside Kingdom Hearts. Greatest games for Playstation in this generation
Back when I was a little kid playing this I got stuck on chapter 5 the squirrel level. I would love to play it again and see if I can beat it as a 16 year old now, god this game was hard.
Trevor Brooks agreed, I would love to go back and see if I can actually complete the game now that I’m almost 17 last time I played would have been the age of 6 or something I would like to see if my gaming skill has advanced enough to to attempt This game once more.
This game is quirky and has its flaws, but it's actually really fun to play, I played it for the first time in 2021 and cleared it after 2-3 weeks, I think I'll definitely replay it.
we can all ADMIT that this game was a banger back then but now where all grown up and yet the game is still in are brains. Thats how you now we loved it
never seen a game wit so many genre shifts. we go from pikmin to super monkey ball to that bumper balls game from mario party in like 10 minutes alone.
I probably had the most fun rolling Violet around in this game. And the details they put into her with the sounds and the shape of her is absolutely beautiful.😁
All I remember is being stuck on the squirrels, or shooting the targets on the elevator. I never could get past that! Such a trip omg thank you for doing this! 😍
I thought it was so cool and yknow how willie wonka said in the candy world thing with the chocolate fountain everything is edible? I really wished i was there and i loved it so much
I remember we felt so lucky to have a PS2 and this game I didn’t even want to ask fo a memory card we kept the PS2 on all night and came back to complete it. Never did tho but got far
I remember renting this game when it just came out at Hollywood Videos and I played it so much I didn't have a memory card so I couldn't beat it cause I always got distracted lol.
Charlie in the chocolate factory puts the Wonka back in Wonky controls and the Willy in willy Willy cwappy wevel designs- some review I saw in a game informer magazine
The right way of making a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory game is by making it into a party/puzzle 4-player similar to what Nintendo makes. With players taking the role as any of the 5 young competitors.
I remember when I had this game..... I couldn’t even pass the first half of it. I mean I was 7 at the time so, that’s probably why I couldn’t pass it tbh. I was clueless on what to do I was literally spending most of my time just chasing after the £10. I bet if I had this game now I could complete it.
