I know you wrote this two years ago, I'm here from the future to tell you that Season 5 of Black Mirror has been ordered, so Chuckie B is likely a busy bee.
Any psychic who has any success is a fake. The "genuine" ones, or at least who sincerely believe it, are of course no better than guessing. That said the successful psychics are still pretty shit. My Mum went to see a live show by "Psychic Sally", some tubby woman who does some terrible TV channel somewhere. I told her beforehand how it's all fake. Afterwards she said it was a load of shit, and Psychic Sally got nearly everything wrong. Psychic Sally is one of the more famous UK psychics. But they don't get much TV any more, cos they haven't thought any new tricks up in 200 years. Derren Brown uses some psychic tricks, but he presents it in a much more entertaining way. He also does conventional magic, knows some psychology, and is generally a smart and thoughtful bloke. Rather than the thick fishwives and camp Northern blokes you usually get. Derren incorporates psychic tricks into his act, rather than just relying on them.
When Bio was the Biography Channel it was a good channel. I worked briefly for Sky TV and in the training group we got split into teams and were all given a channel to write about and present to the whole group. My team was given the Biography Channel and I remember talking about an upcoming Martin Scorsese biography that they were showing (something I wanted to see myself) back when it contained actual biographical content it was a decent little channel.

I think for much the same reason that many religious groups are given free passes to ignore rules that apply for the rest of us: nothing trumps the aversion to 'offending' people's 'deeply held beliefs'.
Psychic Academy was parodied before it was even produced, Shirley Ghostman's Spirit Academy. Which results in bizzarre and meaningless tasks and ends with an assualt course. Very good viewing.
Exactly, and the rules are unequal. Established scams, with many true believers to offend, are allowed to continue unabated, whereas a new scam can be shut down immediately without anyone batting an eyelid (and quite rightly). If I started selling a new substance and claimed it could cure many illnesses through an unknown mechanism, but couldn't show this in double blind trials, I would rightly be shut down. However this is what homeopathy does all the time, yet it is always nodded through.
@tberwick1 There's an episode with Frankie Boyle, Josie Long and Richard Bacon floating around on google search somewhere but it is ridiculously hard to find full episodes. I never paid it much attention when it was on but in comparison to the guff which Channel 4 farts out at the moment, this was a show well worth watching.
@451harri The only way to respond to your question is with a question, and I'm being serious here. Okey then let's try this : The feeling to have your wife a virgin that has never been touched by anyone else and your the first one is just pure love. When a guy is marrying a woman who has sex with alot of men then the nuumber of conflicts will be limitless, cheating is always an option, divorce will not be a surprise. I'm not saying this because I think so, but because I saw it, alot.

@FrazzleAndTheWolf Oh really ? So what's the different between someone who's having sex before marriage and a prostitute ? You'll say money but isn't THAT just a piece of paper ? And no matter how "healthy" it may be it can't get any healthier and hapier than marriage when you have two pure people together.
@451harri Good God I never said "if you have sex with alot of people before marriage you're a bad person" :/, why are you putting words in my mouth ! I said it will hurt their marriage, and the same goes for men, nothing an-equal in my point because I didn't say anything about "bad people". Yes I love a girl right now and she loves me back, it's been two years now, and it doesn't involve any touching what so ever, and I intend to marry her in the future God be willing :).

@451harri I'm a religious person my friend I do what God told me to do for good reasons, why do you think AIDS is spreading insanly fast ? Or girls getting pregnant with no husband for her nor father for her child ? Because people are having sex outside of marriage. Are you gonna tell me that that's not true ? I wish all of those problems didn't exist but they do and niglecting the cause is just stupid from our part.
