Welcome to the official Josh Turner Guitar RU-vid channel! Josh Turner Guitar is a multi-instrumentalist (acoustic guitar and electric guitar), singer, songwriter, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York. Joshua Lee Turner is best known for his RU-vid channel Josh Turner Guitar, where he posts eclectic cover songs and original music since he started the channel in 2007 at age 15. His guitar covers range from rock, R&B, bluegrass, folk, jazz, classical, pop, indie, blues, etc. Josh now tours internationally in support of his own original music, as well as with long-time collaborator Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. Filming/Editing Equipment:
Shot on a Canon EOS R with an RF 24-70L lens and a Schneider Hollywood Blackmagic 1/4" filter. Lights are Neewer 660s with soft boxes. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Video by Kelly Oden.
Audio Setup and Equipment:
- Guitar is a D'Angelico Deluxe Atlantic into a Supro Black Magick 1696RT, Mic'd with an AKG 414 XL-II into a Warm Audio WA73-EQ.
- Drums are Gretsch shells and vintage Zildjian cymbals. Drum overhead is a Vanguard V44s II into an ART Pro MPA II. Hat mic is an sE Electronics sE8.
- Bass is an Ernie Ball Joe Dart Jr. into the DI on a Warm Audio WA73-EQ.
Interface is an RME Fireface UFX.
Mixed in Pro Tools and bounced to 1/4" RTM SM911 tape on a Teac A-3300SX.

Good God Man! Your presentation of the greatest Christmas music ever is spot on. As a 11 year-old choir member, we somehow got connected with Vince Giraldi and the Peanuts Specials producers and my sister and I are two of the voices singing on the Peanut's Christmas Special. WePea were each given a check for $5.00 from Fantasy Records. Vince ended up writing the music for all the Peanut's Specials until his untimely death in 1976 at 47 years young. If you have not been exposed to Charlie Brown's Christmas music, get on it!

My wife and I just saw a segment on Vince and the Charlie Brown Christmas music. I couldn't believe the choir members were only paid $5 for all of that work. One of the most treasured CD's in my collection.

@@guitarkis4969To give some reasoning behind $5, they probably took about an hour to record the song, it’s fairly simple, and there wasn’t the recording tech to do loads of takes cheaply, tape was expensive. $5 in 1965 ≈ $47/hr. Not bad pay, but yes, I agree, the song is priceless.
