Loved this bloke since I saw first saw Uncle Peter. Unrecognised genius. I've showed him to so many people over the years, only some found him funny, but the ones who do love it as much as I do. National Treasure.😁

saw charlie a good few years back in a local pub that was hosting a comedy week ... as soon as he appeared without saying a word everybody was laughing ... he is the maddest comedian ive ever seen a total genius! ....

First time I saw Charlie Chuck was on James Whale, I came home from a night out, and sat there pissed watching him, and just sat there laughing my head off :) lol

Ah indeed yes , one feels inclined to express the perfectly legitimate opinion that one feels a certain level of acquiescence with what one feels is one's God-given right to reminisce about dropping Acid in the not too distant past. . . . and in closing , may I say : Fr€€ |\/|us|~|r⚪⭕|\/|zzZ F⚪r €\/€r`/⭕|\|€ !! ✳ ✳ That is of course except those unfortunately predisposed to mental health issues.

Ditto. The purple om and Gorbachev acid tabs where mind blowing around that time, and Whale was on as you floated back from the dive bars or clubs, and a blast of Charlie totally did the trick.

I will try to explain the unexplainable. The shop owner hasn't go any cream buns to sell. He tells the lunatic who is in his shop many times that he can't have a cream bun but he just carries on so the owner gets as angry as the lunatic and throws him out of his shop. It is only really funny because of the masterful performance, the delayed point to the slice of cake,...... over there, and all the other nuances. We are laughing at a lunatic not listening or excepting reality. It isn't a joke in the true sense of the word, just lunacy, no punchline, no real ending. But it just is bloody funny

Did the man ever get that cream bun in the end? Think the goat joke might be the only 'proper' joke that Charlie ever told. When I say 'proper' I mean one with a conventional punchline. And it's not even his best. But it works so well. Fucking amazing. Defs my favourite comedian.

gal00li The 'sensitive' language only presents itself on live shows for grown-ups and, unsurprisingly, rarely on TV. It's part of the personality of the characters his act is derived from... unhinged, aggressive and somewhat demented. You cannot separate one strand of behaviour from the rest, it wouldn't work - it's about having a fully-rounded persona, faithful to the original, however uncomfortable for some, that may be.
