I actually liked She Hulk. I get people's complaints but eh it was fun and Tatiana Maslaney was a great lead who did well with the material she was given. Daredevil was used really well in my opinion..
I liked She Hulk. Not sayings its my favorite. Or expect others to love it. But I truly dont get some of the hate. Point is, I absolutely want Tatiana playing her in the MCU. She did great as the character.
The character was great. The show had its moments but overall was dissappinting but after each episode I had a little smile on my face so I can't say I hated it just missed potential.
@@Mb-zu6onI agree with you. I want more She-Hulk but get writers who actually care about the comics and the MCU as a whole. Sometimes it felt like the writers were more agenda driven than story driven. I personally don’t mind poking fun at sexist basement dwelling chuds, but it shouldn’t have been the main focus of the final two episodes. It was so anti-climatic to find out the main villain was just a sexist troll.
Thanks John for reading my comment. Want you to know i listen almost every day. Helps me get through the day. I just got approved disabled retired so I appreciate having your show to not make the time so long and empty. Especially when ya are ill. Hugs and high fives and may the swartz be with you!
Without a doubt, Daredevil was the highlight of She-Hulk. Though I expected the episode to somewhat be entertaining, I didn't expect to ship Matt and Jen so hard. Their chemistry was cute. I want Born Again to focus on street level stories, so I don't want She-Hulk in his show. However, in some other project sure let them interact.
1:11:10 i agree with recasting T’Challa but not Leia because she was known for playing the character for over 40 years and in multiple films so it doesn’t seem right to have someone portray Leia in that time frame, if it’s a younger Leia like in the Kenobi series then I can understand but other than that then no I can see.
At this point I think Charlie just *likes* working with Tatiana. Nothing wrong with it, and they could be an interesting and engaging couple. That being said, Karen and Matt’s relationship just hits me harder.
The main problem with the twist in "Sugar", was that it happened way too late into the series. Some people don't like certain genres, and when a project switched genres, they get angry and feel let down. For example, my brother loved "The Green Mile" but was furious when it changed from being a prison drama, and became a supernatural drama as well. I think that the hints should have been more obvious, and the revelation should have been much earlier in the season.
I'd love the romance to continue but the characters aren't going to interact that often so story wise it might be more interesting to pair him with someone who can actually be a recurring character.
I been following since the AMC days and you been amazing since before than I bet! I seen you salute other channels like you did here. I salute you!! You never hate! Giving an honest opinion is not hate and you always help others! Thanks for being you!!!
Im up for it if the Daredevil writers can give her better stuff to work with than her own show, but even at that, if this is supposedly Daredevil S4, idk how Tatiana would fit the tone of the Netflix shows.
I don’t think she Hulk has to be for everyone, I get why it got so much hate in fact I was one of the people hating on the show while it was airing but once it stopped I realized it’s not that deep lol plenty of people who weren’t as big into marvel came up to me to tell me they enjoyed the show a lot so I’m happy it was for some people, just wish i wouldn’t have taken it so seriously from week to week. I feel like I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more if I wouldn’t have kept up with the online discourse too
On comic book fatigue I think both can be true. I think people can ask you for 17 years about it but eventually it DOES become true regardless because of the amount of time. Comic books are a bit of a generational thing, then comic book movies came out and everybody loved those but more and more Gen Z are raised in an environment where comic book movies and TV shows are the cultural norm and not an exciting new genre, they have always existed to them and been done well so there is nothing inherently special about new ones whereas older Millennials & Gen X are getting burnt out by bad ones and the subject material and you add both of those together and you get less engagement and viewership. It breaks my nerdy comic book loving heart but it's true. It really is a genre that has to continue re-inventing itself whereas the new popular thing for Gen Z is video games & anime. That's what they want to see represented in Hollywood and Hollywood is going to give it to them. There is some cross over of course between these various interests, genres into superhero stuff but I just don't think it's quite as big as it used to be as we are looking at the subject through nostalgia filled rose colored glasses trying to keep re-capturing the same moments (character arcs, events, stories) that have already been done many times before. I hope the industry and movies continue to challenge and re-invent themselves to offer new experiences and things we haven't seen done before.
Jennifer's the only Hulk we have right now that'll roust a bar. Some nice Daredevil She Hulk whoopin ass scenes in the new Daredevil season in the vein of seasons 1 and 2 action would be sick if they did that
I've said since it came out that "HONOR AMONG THIEVES: A Dungeons & Dragons Movie" would have done better than "DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Honor Among Thieves". This would have let people know that you could enjoy it without playing the game, but still keep the branding.
I tried the first episode of Tokyo Vice and couldn’t finish the first episode. When watching a show about Yakuza it turned me off when a Caucasian American guy was the primary focus. It’s a tired trope that should have died in the 90’s.
People who skip great movies because they aren't familiar with the source material (I'm referring to Dungeons and Dragons movie) are so stupid. It's not a sequel that you need to play the game or read the book to prepare yourself for it. Most people didn't read Lord of the Rings or Song of Ice and Fire before watching the adaptation. What's stopping you from watching D&D? Don't make up excuses. Either watch it or don't.
Idk call me crazy but making a spin off of a side character without the original actress that we just saw portray her seems like a recipe for poor a box office performance. I get it’s a prequel and you wanna go younger but still.
I love She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and I’m still hoping for a second season. And people saying this shouldn’t happen don’t get Daredevil. Yes his life is miserable, but one of his major character traits is that he is a manwh$r&. He gets around, and so does She-Hulk. So of course them hooking up from time to time makes sense.
Sad the Hubris of the Creatives at Disney to buck the ol Tradtiim of adapting and go the route of creating their own I'm terms of Star Wars. Yeah no impact yet making the Legends now material non cannon. Speak to a Star Wars fan about Maura Jade or Zahns trilogy, kotor on and on. Still impactful and now everytime you extrapolate Luke using Thrawn it's just deflated. Man the prequels were just bad movies but somehow feel they proved their existence. I'm 46 lived with Star wars all my life and even with my nieces and nephews anyone I know the sequels are just gone from anyone's minds eye. Rise of Skywalker makes me angry. Viscerally. One of the worst moments in any medium. I wish I was being a modicum of hyperbole.
The reality is less than 5% of Star Wars fans know who Mara Jade is, or the Thrawn Trilogy. I think we "hard core" Star Wars fans often way over estimate the popularity of the more obscure stuff in the lore.
Exactly what I was meaning. I didn't explain well. If they knew they could adapt from those such as telling those stories into films. I guess on a roundabout (while different storytelling mediums) "of it ain't broke"... I personally would have loved to see Heir to the Empire made I to a film Can't now.
Respectfully John I think you’re foundationally wrong if you think most people when they think about Obi Wan they don’t think about Ewan. Remember he’s been our Obi Wan for 25 years and yes if you’re a nerd or a SW geek yeah you know about Alec’s Obi Wan but most people in today’s day and age associate Ewan Mcgregor with Obi Wan
John Campea - On mandatory day off holidays such as memorial day you often say that you decided to give everyone the day off. Stop it These are mandated holidays. You didn't decide to give everyone the day off. You have to as it is a major holiday and no one would want to work on a major holiday. Stop phrasing things in the manner that you decided to give people the day off. That is disingenuous and untrue. If it was not a major holiday you would not give them the day off. So there is no decision you made. National holidays are the days off that are mandatory for good work for e ethos. You make yourself sound even more stupid when you say things like that
