im a high dia so nothing special either , i have just basic mechanics and yea idk how he got there either. in general that lobby is so ass its crazy.. but tbh my dia lobbys are also full of bad players.
@@michaelfellner9822 Their are alot of boosted Diamonds to get out of Diamond I carried my tm8 I had 4 goals 8 saves with 1282 points and he had 28 points
This is just plat it makes sense how he got there tbh i know it sounds like I’m being a jackass but it’s true tbh that plate and diamonds play the exact same except diamonds hit the ball a little bit more (coming from a gc2)
I wonder if he knows how badly he ball chases. Some people are just oblivious to it, so who knows. So many times he cut teammates off who had to sit back in net, then Charlie whiffs, and the guy who got cut off gets to be the dummy in the replay getting scored on. The horror!!!!!!
@@austinbatton4849 wtf are you on about? im c2 and champ-gc has the worst ballchasers, idk how you can say that champ doesnt have ballchasers, maybe you ballchase so badly you dont even notice players around you
I'm currently c2. I was stuck in c1 for about 8 months and after I switched from playing twice a week to everyday it was a game changer. I could see myself hitting Grand champ soon
@@AlexBriggs2 I got into my first C3 lobby the other day, I won because a gc 1 got into our lobby on my team. And then the next game I felt lost. The pacing wasn't too fast but their mechanics were alot better than mine
c2 to grand champ is a huge difference. Especially bc you need to start dealing with smurfs, so by the time you hit gc1, you are prob around gc2 level. Get ready to invest a shit ton of time
Dunno how your gameplay is looking now but just judging from this video i would recommend paying more attention to your boost pad pathing, especially the small pads. 4 small pads is 48 boost so about half your tank and 2 pads (24 boost) is usually enough to safe any aerial attack on your net
rotations and boost steals are looking good, just gotta hit free play a little more often 1:55:37 the more mechanical you get, the more you like 2v2, at least that's how it was for me
@@imdazzio4559 the average C2, enough to give a plat 1 compliments and tips i reached c1 not giving much attention to mechanics but climbing to c2 took a ton of free play hours (i never imagined practicing double taps would help in the air so much, bounce reads are on point)
Charlie’s controls might be a little busy for his rank. Think he’d have a much more fun time if he didn’t try to fast aerial for every ball in the air. Gotta dial in that eye some.
Best bit of advise I can give to hit diamond in rocket league, if you're stuck in plat is stay back and take your time. Watch how the other two play, if they ball chase (80% of the time they do) let them go for it. Everytime I watch plat games they all fail at defense, work on defensive play and practice long range shots on there net. Then when the opposing team loose control of the ball take that long range shot and it will go in 80% of the time cause you'll find there team also ball chase and are out of position.
I was d3 3v3 and C in 2v2 / now new seasons was unlucky and Im at D1.. but for fak sake.. watching this match makes me thing I could 1v3 here.. as between d1 and p3 there minimal difference so if this is US Plats.. than yeah EU Plats would kill them.....
Most of them are probably actually plat since it’s where most of the player base his. They don’t want to admit their gameplay looks almost identical to Charlie’s.
@@slycooper2bandofthieves116 Plat isn't identical to charlie lol. Plats are pretty bad (I'd know I'm one) but they usually understand how to hit a ball and read when to lay off a play for a second. Plus charlie has so many free plays anyone above silver would take and just left them there. Now I'd say he places gold 1 maybe 2 at best. He can learn and get better no doubt but rn he looks super super rough.
I was in champ 2 one night and the next I was in diamond 2, I suddenly started to suck so bad and I didnt understand why, so I guess it just happens lmao
@@Skate0597 i used to play 1v1 all the time and was hardstuck plat. Then i actually spent some time training car control and air dribbles now it feels like im smurfing in dia 3. Just spend some time in training and youll get out of dia
this might be the most scuffed RL gameplay I have ever seen. I absolutely love Charlie but damn he rushed almost everything, gets bumped bc of it and cant recover
@@CesarGomez-kp5lm I've thought about this for hours, even prayed about it - and I still don't have a single idea what your comment is supposed to mean
Few things charlie should work on is boost management (rotate full out more/grab more penny pads) and when it's his turn for possesions he should turn his ball cam off when he is lined up so the control is better(not only while dribbling but when taking shots from a pass or clear too)
At this point he just needs to work on mechanics my guy. You can get to gc with good enough mech and you will learn rotation, boost management and control while thats happening. My suggestion would be to start with basic shot, defence and aerial training then slowly move onto advanced training packs and workshop maps.(gc2 player) edit:(gc2 player in oce, which would be gc3 or close to ssl in other regions because I've been gc3)
@@Thatguy-vu5iu you dont need machnics to get high rank, just consistentence in rotation deffense amd situational awareness, it will change the higher rank he climbs but he doesnt even realize when he has no boost and should back sometime, or atleast grab 2-3 pennies. Mechanics are not everything
@@-Requi3m- its boring to not have mechanics mate. Every game is gonna feel the same, id rather try scoring a breezy flick, fail and get scored on than score a tap in
3:26:39 The biggest oof I've seen in a bit. But it was a great set up by Charlie I cant deny that, all that clutch gameplay just for that is rough but that's rocket league so I get it.
6:30 Charlie is a rough player to watch but he's right. Players in plat will whiff one thing and then ff and cry in chat all game when no one else forfeits.
if I have 1 advice for you , I would say don't look at the ball only , look at your teammates ,opponent team and your boost . I know it's hard but you will use to it in time
he entrapped the guy they say..... you know that is only a law enforcement law.... so you know normal people don't have the power to actually get charged...
Bumps teammate to miss when he shouldn’t be up with him then says well go get it then. Teammate quits and I feel that 100% learn to rotate my dude. You triple commit A LOT
