Seriously why hasn( thuis video got a milion hits? One of the most brilliant writers of our age getting into his work is not valuable? I respect this man zo much.
i was at this event at the BFI in London and the interviewer really didn't come across as either knowing what he was talking about or understanding himself
This interviewer reminds me of a scene of Synecdoche where Caden it's giving instructions to an actor, and he fakes that he understood what he said but he didn't, the fear of Charlie Kauffman put into his art of never being really understood translated to reality.
I think he’s wrong in saying that the audience walks away from adaptation feeling ambivalent. Anyone who understands the brilliance of the movie and knows the difference between truth and fiction and that good movies have good resolutions walks away feeling very satisfied.
