I overstayed my vacation a few days in the US once. ICE was very polite about it and I went on my own way on my own accord. No handcuffs, no detainment nothing. The sad thing is, it's usually the people who do receive free government money, or still live with their parents who have these beliefs. Yes, I know some woke people who work for a living, but they tend to be the ones who don't have to work very hard for a living, such as teachers, preachers, and other jobs that don't require a lot of physical/manual labor. I think that has something to do with it. People who can afford to give others' money away, and people who have lived good lives without any adversity or hardship don't understand the downside of some of the policies they back. They create first world problems, and have the time to pontificate on multiple genders, because they don't have to work very hard for a living, and if they do (I am an RN, and I have worked with some woke nurses and CNAs), they still remain in a bubble, because they have their families and/or spouse to help them get through life. They never had to get out in the real world and engage with opposing viewpoints or people who harmed them and didn't give a rat's behind if they did. We need to bring back the good, old fashioned debates to high schools and colleges. Remember those? Where people would have to convince the class of opposing viewpoints, and they would be graded on how persuasive the argument was. It didn't matter if you agreed with the argument or not - you were either on the for or against side, and if you wanted a good grade, you did a good job. Bring back critical thinking again. It's not a teacher's job to FORM minds, it's a teacher's job to INFORM minds. Children are smart enough to draw their own conclusions, based on data around them. This indoctrination of children, beginning in elementary school has to stop. By the time they are in college, they are just parroting talking points, and they can't even form a coherent and cohesive argument. They don't know the topic they are arguing for well enough, and it shows. They might as well just say it's because that's what they were told. It's blatantly obvious. If someone truly believes something, and knows about it, they can explain it in a way that anyone can understand. It's why Charlie Kirk wins his debates. His facts on the border aren't complete. While it is true that fentanyl comes across the southern border, it's nowhere near 90%. Maybe 90% of what is SEIZED, but that's a tiny fraction of what gets into the country. Also, all the pills that come through the border do so in freight or passenger vehicles that get through inspection stations. NONE of it is coming through the open desert. I believe it was 3/5, not 2/3, and the other irony of the whole thing is that it was the slave-owners arguing that slaves should be counted as a full person (for purposes of determining population-based representation in the federal government) and it was non-slave-owners arguing that slaves shouldn't be counted at all for that purpose.

It took my ex 10 years to become us citizen but he came here under a work visa that took 5 years to get .my ex had to be able to read a speak English language before he apply for citizen ship and have a sponsor who guided though the process but he did it legally people storming our borders is just a slap in the face to those who did it the honest way
