As of 1 week ago (Late May 2022), that housing estate under construction immediately adjacent to the site is more developed, but still a lot of building works to be completed. Worth considering if one is planning a ‘relaxing and quiet’ getaway. (Although no works occurred during my stay). Causkey’s pub on the Main Street ( a 5 min walk from the campsite) has a lovely outdoor seating area out back with amazing views out West over the Atlantic. Just make sure you bring insect repellent! The midges are plentiful. The pub is dog friendly but not bank card friendly. Cash only down these parts. I didn’t visit O’Shea’s pub ( a 2 min walk from the campsite) as there was a wedding party with live music outside. My little dog wasn’t impressed. I cannot stress enough how absolutely lovely the staff are at ‘Eyeries Rock café’ are (situated at the entrance to the campsite and where you check-in). Again cash only for the campsite but they did accept card for payment for food. Presumably two separate businesses so different policies. The German female staff member who has been in Ireland quite a few years and the absolutely lovely staff member who I ended up chatting to at length about something common to both of us. (A sad doggy story). Anyhow, my dog was well taken care of, fresh water and lots of treats from the staff. I can’t rate them highly enough. Well worth a visit. Only a 10 minute drive to Castletownbere where there are free designated parking spaces specifically for Motorhomes. (No services) but right on the waterfront. Located directly across from ‘The Tea Room’ café. Also in Castletownbere, I have to mention Mc Carthy’s bar , whose female proprietor was beyond helpful and again, just like the staff at ‘Eyeries Rock Café’ ensured my dog had fresh water. Also worth mentioning is that there is a large multinational company ‘Circle K’ petrol garage just East of Castletownbere. However, I gave my business when filling up the Motorhome to a small local business ‘O Sullivan’s garage’ , the proprietor of which has a Diesel and Petrol pump outside his small garage. Situated between ‘Mc Carthy’s’ bar and the designated MH parking spaces. Better fuel prices as well , so win win. Support the local economy and save money. Edit: Those roadworks at 2:30 are still ongoing (May 2022). No hurry lads. 8 months later 😂

Pity about the 10amps. And a shower and toilet would make it fantastic. Other than that, it's beautiful

ahhh 10amps is ok if you watch what you have plugged in at one one time but it is a beautiful spot and would make a great spot for a full facility campsite. thanks for watching

I watch all your videos, and have been to a lot of sites that you have shown. I love Woodlands in Tralee, and Bantry Aire. Both well kept and in walking distance to their towns. TV always works and so does WiFi. So that's the entire package. Love your videos, spotted you in Clonakilty a few weeks ago. All hubby and myself are doing lately, is looking at all the ambulances Xxx
