He is so multi talented. He isn't just another manufactured pop star but someone who can write, compose, mix and engineer the sound, play instruments as well as sing. And a nice down to earth guy too.
In rock there are but not mainstream pop. Many pop singers have songs written for them and if the song doesn't work for them they are passed onto another singer.
to add on top of this charlie posted a sheet of like the top 10 songs which listed all of the producers and songwriters for all of the songs and literally for Attention was listed as number 10. It was only Charlie ( who wrote the song and produced) which I believe with one of his usual guys who does the mastering or mixing for the song ( I forget which part he did) but all of the other songs have like 5-7 producers and songwriters working on one song. Like its crazy to have that skill that charlie has and I'm inspired by him
@@franmcverry9090 To be a "real" musician, You don't need to play all instruments. You need creativity and make good music with whatever you have, And we have to admit, Charlie have all this.
I love how he can sing and play piano, writes his own songs, Uses strange things and phone recordings in his pro tools/logic....whatever he's using here. Very creative person. His mind is all about music. Even when he's not really playing the guitar riff....he just has a creative producer mind and just pitched the muted guitar noise into the melody. Or he puts little real drums/beatbox over the electronic drums to make it more alive and less stale. I love that stuff
I think that might be up to either Warner Music or Charlie Puth himself to release. I haven't seen much stems from Charlie leak, let alone anything from Atlantic (excluding anything from Guitar Hero, Rock Band, remix contests or occasional leaks online) Update: Well, whataya know, the Attention stems did get leaked after all. (it's from a recent Rock Band 4 DLC, you can find the links on soundcloud or google)
he's a music prodigy and NOT APPRECIATED ENOUGH. Even if he had grammy nominations and idk if he won? I think so? he needs more recognition. Way too talented that dude is.
He's good, but calling him a prodigy is a bit much. Many people can do the exact same thing he did in this video, they just aren't making millions with their music. He's very very talented, but prodigy is a bit of an overstatement.
Charlie Puth is probably the only pop singer I enjoy. His personality, and is actually a musician that understands theory and doesn’t take shortcuts in his work. Many pop stars don’t have much if any serious music education background and only sing and dance. This man can do it all. The fact he can substitute needing other l instrumentalists to make a track and still sound like a full band. It’s what I like to see.
Music theory is unnecessary. He does know it, but he doesn't need to. He's said before that he can't read or write music. He's one of the 'by ear' people. Those people are always better writers for some reason.
hope no one sees this... HES BEEN MY INSPIRATION FOREVER NOW not just songwriting but producing too...god damn I want to be able to songwrite and produce one day I'll get there someday!
but that is talent. Producer talent is more impressive than 'playing a single instrument' talent. Anyone can learn an instrument. Most cannot be this creative. His ear is also legendary.
for bass pads he is using a real hardware synthsizer, and for juno2 also a real hardware juno60 polysynth from roland.....you can use a virtual software version of juno60 by TAL namely TAL UNO LX which produces the exact same sounds of a real juno60 he is using.... And for trilliian and kontakt I think they are presets from the stock factory library
It's a matter of the timbre! Instead of creating a sound from the scratch / mixing some different sounds or synths (what the DJs do), he chose to mix existing sounds and mixed them in order to put his idea in practice
the keyboards he was using were not pianos, instead they were 'Synthesizers' which produce synthetic sounds, and on of them was a 'MIDI controller' which is not an instrument by itself but used to play virtual (software) instruments loaded in the computer....you can google these terms and know more...
