The man is gone, but his music lives on. Charlie Robison was an amazing singer/songwriter that embodied the Texas troubadour tradition. Bless his family, friends and fans who are grieving his loss!
He’s coming out of retirement dude. He’s already booked to play a few shows. He’s not gonna sound as good probably after the surgery, but still a country legend in my book and will be an awesome show.
I love love this man and his songs. I never heard of him until a year ago, but I heard a really funny song he wrote. I started listening to him a lot. He was such a good artist! I’m so sad that he has passed on. RIP.
I'm just a fan in Tennessee and for a week I just played his songs over and over and I couldn't grasp he was gone I just still can't believe it and I know the people of Texas and red dirt fans have to be just devastated but he left us with some of the greatest songs and performances there has ever been a true outlaw who did his way and at least he got too play for us for one last year thank you Charlie and for us fans it's up too us to let the world know his songs and what a national treasure he is
One of the shows I only hoped to see was Charlie and Bruce. Music feels empty today after hearing about Charlie's retirement. I'll keep spinning ya, man.
