I knew Charlie when he was just a kid playing in small clubs. My friend and I would give him a ride in my 57 Chevy. Austin was small then. Going to get an old original Sexton poster from someone Charlie might know, Steve Dean. Always knew Charlie was going to be great. T. Joy

Brilliant playing as well as songwriting. Living in NYC still kick myself over missing a show back in the 90s. Wishing Tree is still a album that is Top 10 in my book.
Neither do I, from 17 to now,he is flawless,organic and rich with talent and eloquent beauty. I've been struck silent since I saw him at 17 with his debut.
his stuff is just mesmerizing. i first learned about him through the cold irons bound video from dylan. i saw charlie and i said , WHO is this man? now i look forward to seeing him in the dylan shows i attend. so talented and i cannot get enough!!!
Second time listening to it I cranked up the volume. But by the third line, after the word “belt” to be exact, I couldn’t make out what he was saying. This may be heresy, but diction used to matter.
