This was one of the most well-done, satisfying fight scenes I've ever seen - no shaky camera movements, no super close zoom-ins that nobody can tell what they're looking at, integral to the story and the characters' dynamic, shows Andy's and Nile's abilities not tell, drives the point home, awesome choreography. I just love how neatly this scene fits into the movie in all aspects and isn't just action for the sake of it (tho those are still fun) I esp appreciated the different fighting style here that's never seen before in other films that really made Andy's experience felt. It was so refreshing and simultaneously such a creative way to make the(her) story that much more believable !

The best fight scenes on screen EVER are in the first Matrix. That being said, I loooooooooooooooved the Old Guard, I Loooove Charlize and I can't wait for the sequel. Summer 2021 Netflix, or sooner, can't wait longer than that.

You must not have seen Raid 1 and 2. The director for Old Guard studied those movies, it was a big inspiration for her.

I literally just finished watching this. IT WAS SOOO GOOD!. Both lady's did absolutely amazing and seeing their bond grow throughout the film made me emotional, in a good way. Both were strong, and despite them fighting, shooting and stabbing each other lol. They had each other's backs, especially in the last fight seen... Which had me like 😳🤯. So good 10/10 for me. Please give us a sequel and bring these two back 🙏🏼. Also someone give these two a role at MARVEL. Seriously, brilliant

I'm on my second time watching it. That's all i need to say. Movie was fantastic. And the shifts they made from the comics worked really really well. Andy didnt lose her power in the comics, but the fact she lost it in the movie was huuuuuuuge. I was seriously worried she was gona die. But watching the others literally put themselves between her and the bullets 😭😭😭😭😭😭

That's how I felt too... it was a really great movie but that thing about losing her powers...it made me drop a tear 😢 I just hope she get it back on the sequel...coz in the comic she didn't lose it...other than that, "I want mooooooree!!!"

Andy is a most intriguing character to me because of her unbelievable age and life experience. Her internal journal like dialogue at the very beginning was very interesting but I believe it could and should be developed more. It really pulls you in and helps us understand and identify with her humanity and how she processes her thoughts and feelings just like us yet she's 7000 years old. It reminds me of Sarah Connor which had the same inner dialogue in Terminator 2 which I loved but I believe it was developed more.

Everyone here is (rightfully!) praising Charlize Theron's badassery, but Kiki Lane is still new on the scene, and she created a totally believable, three dimensional character - kind in every way but also *strong* in every way. Nile earns Andy's respect very quickly, and Kiki earns our respect at the same time.

Really enjoyed this movie. Watched it 3 times this weekend. Since the pandemic started there’s been next to nothing new that can hold my attention. I find myself watching old things I love for comfort. So for this to not only hold my attention but thoroughly entertain me, it was worth the wait.

This scene is excellent because it shows how much the actresses seem to be expert martial artists. The cuts for shut changes may not have given this impression because these quick and small movements could not be perceived by the largest audience. If there were not so many cuts and medium closeup the shot would be more interesting and would please a large part of the audience.

this movie isn't bad. It lacks a bit of epicness. When I saw clips of it, I wasn't sure if it's a movie or a tv show. Looks more like a tv movie than for a movie theatre. A little loose here and there. I kept thinking of Milla Jovovich as these kinds of action movies suit her and Charlize Theron reminds me of her too. I hope if there's an Old Guard 2 like everyone keeps saying, it'll be better.
