Charlotte Airport Arrival 2024 CLT 

It would be nice if CLT had some sort of plane train (like ATL) to get people from Terminal E to Terminal A, which is a really long walk. On the other hand, if you're going from one smaller airport (like CRW) to another smaller airport like Jacksonville, NC, going through CLT is much nicer because you don't have to change terminals. I can remember when I flew to Spain via Dulles in 2007, I left CLT from what is now probably Gate E12-ish, and that was about as far as the E gates went. The northern portion of the E Terminal had not even been constructed yet. That was also before Terminal A began being expanded to what it is now.

as a AA employee for E con- im really sorry for passengers that have connecting . especially when regional jets coming late for valid reasons then they all have to wait again to get thier valet bags, then moving walkways always broken everyday , im seeing daily like that turning E to another CONCOURSE almost look like a charlotte internation marathon , ive seen a man getting off from A10 to E 45 and never in his life did run and he was almost dying soaked in his own sweat , i was like damn,, i wish we have a mini cart to pick them up, i love to drive them and take them as fast as possible

That's crazy long walk

I was there just last week and it is a huge mess, long walk and poor signage , had to pu my luggage at carousel E but try looking for that E carousel , insane, it’s in some corner construction area under International flights .

Thirty seven years in aviation here and a large part of that was in CLT (I was original Piedmont) - Once all the renovations are complete, I trust that it will be much nicer and not all the construction. With that being said, the B and C terminals biggest problem is the width of the concourse. Back in the 80's/90's, the airport was designed with the modest traffic it had. Now with AA in the picture and them turning it into the second biggest hub for them, it's just too congested. Way more flights that can be accommodated. AA has increased frequency here so much that the minute an aircraft pulls out of the jetway, immediately another pulls in. It's just too much for the airport to keep up with. Also, CLT has a massive amount of regional flights which you witnessed by how big the E terminal; I'm not sure how that issue can be fixed. CLT is the fifth busiest airport (worldwide) based on arrival and departures. Back in the day, we just never could conceive this airport would be in the position it is today. Back then we were eh big, now were insane big...lol. Side bar, I'm from CRW :)

I've never had to use Terminal E. Sorry you did. Compared to others, CLT has always been better. Hope they get done soon.

i have a flight with a 30 min connection in clt... im now super worried seeing how big this airport is

That does seem like a bit of a jaunt. It makes it kind of inconvenient. They should partner with a gym and have 2 functions, an airport/gym with that walk lol

Really infuriating airport to make connections at on short layovers. Especially when you have to go e to a or b. You’ll be running most likely and then there’s the people that get in your way most likely not having to deal with connecting flights

I've heard from some people on Facebook leaving comments on Philippine Airlines’ posts requesting a non-stop flight between this airport in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Manila. I do not know if Philippine Airlines will consider non-stop flights serving this airport although most likely when considering airports with a longer non-stop flight distance than New York JFK, they would have non-stop flights out of Washington Dulles, Atlanta, and others on an A350, 777X-8, and 787-9.

Come back when it gets finished in 2030.......
