I imagine it sucks to be Felipe Martins and get your first appearance in many matchdays and then accidentally feed a goal right to Kerwin Vargas and then get injured.

@@johnmcgimpsey1825 he makes an active attempt to get the ball. Yes he fouls him and its a yellow card but that is shambolic to give a red. Its not dangerous and its not out of control. Hes on the ground and studs are not flat to ankle/shin. Nonsense to think thats a red. A yellow would have been the correct call

@@bens8163 Look again - freeze it at the point of contact. Studs are directly applied to the achilles tendon. It’s undoubtedly not what he intended, but by sliding he deliberately gave up significant control over the outcome. 100% SFP.

Funnily enough, "intent" appears nowhere in the Laws of the Game. Instead, they say to punish Serious Foul Play when it's committed. That tackle risked a season-ending injury. 100% Send-off.

Terrible call on the red card. He was going for the ball, but not reckless or flagrant by any means. CFC played great with a man down that early on. Would have won if it wasn't for that.
