A locker room is a place of energy, passion and teamwork. When partnering with the Charlotte Hornets on their locker room and lounge renovation, DI had several goals in mind. The space needed to have the comfort of a second home but the energy of an NBA game. It also needed to showcase the return of the Hornets name with a new logo and brand identity that is fully integrated into the interior design.
From illuminated graphics, to the bathroom tile to solid surface lockers, DI was responsible for the complete design aesthetic of the team spaces. After digging deep into the Charlotte Hornets culture and operations, the new graphics and interiors were designed to reflect the new direction of the franchise. DI’s collaboration with Hornets stakeholders allowed them to be part of this process and share a common vision for the end result.
