You didn't mention the most important factor, the fact that Katakuri is pretty good at capturing/trapping people with his DFF. The versatility of his power is a big factor when fighting people like Marco and King, because he can switch his strategy around and focus on bypassing their hax defense by drowning them in mochi.

Great video. I agree on the analysis. One thing we can't forget to mention is that Katakuri technically defeated Luffy when Katakuri drowned him in Mochi, then Luffy tapped. Katakuri then walked off to have an afternoon snack while Luffy ate his way through Katakuri's mochi. Of course Luffy was able to fight afterwards but that's an L for any other character and technically was an early L for Luffy in his fight against Katakuri. No other Yonko Commander could have defeated Luffy so efficiently at point.
One of the problems is that Oda never draws Marco using Haki, so he probably uses it all the time, but Oda doesn't draw it over his talons and stuff like that. Kidd has the same problem, where Oda doesn't draw black Armament over his metal. So it kinda creates the illusion that they don't use Haki or that it's weaker. Marco has also never gotten a true extended 1v1 fight. He always has to bounce between opponents, so his fighting never gets focused on. For me it can go either way. I usually put Marco just a bit above Katakuri, because Marco has feats at Marineford against the Admirals and he was present in Onigashima , which upscaled in terms of power like crazy even to WCI in many ways. So for me it's Marco extreme difficulty. I am expecting Katakuri to come back into the story and definetely be stronger. But if you say Katakuri extreme diff, thats understandable.
Marco could bypass katakuris future sight with sheer speed, and leave him bleeding buckets with a single kick, remember, marco hit king with like one or two attacks and he was bleeding buckets, so was queen. Katakuri's durability is ass bleeding rivers after hits from base wci luffy and OVEN 💀
Marco's main job is to stall enemies till they run out of stamina. He doesn't really win fights, he just stalls people, which he is admittedly extremely good at. The reason he's stronger than Jozu, overall, is because he just doesn't go down. He keeps regenerating and has a ton of stamina. Basically the best support character. It comes down to whether or not Marco can tire out Katakuri. Also, Marco has had no durability feats, whatsoever. He can be damaged by just about any attack. In terms of AP, he does have one strong internal damage attack, but that's about it. Overall, I think it'd be a long battle and it would either end in a draw or Katakuri winning extreme diff...
I am pretty sure that the data book about Marco states that he fought equally vs the Admirals, which makes sense cuz Admirals were heavily suppressed in the MF arc and if go by pure feats, even King has better feats than, for example, Kizaru. Via feats, it makes sense that Marco ~ Admirals(MF). Also, Jozu's AP would get buffed via his diamond coating as well, cuz he would be hitting via harder material. Jozu(D coating) > Marco in AP, but that does not mean that physically they are quite equal. In terms of speed Marco has feats like off-guarding suppressed Aokiji, somewhat outpacing Akainu, matching Kizaru, later in Wano he has feats like getting blitzed by BM after winning the clash and having the upper hand, outpacing suppressed King and Queen, so all of Marco's feats where he outpaces someone is against suppressed opponents, which is not something great and the only time he went up against a strong character who was not suppressed, he got blitzed. In terms of durability Marco is not impressive, his wing gets sliced off clean by King's normal sword swing, but he makes that up with his regeneration. It should be noted that Marco's defensive moves are great. He is able to block Blast Breath and King's flames. Blast breath should scale over any of Kat's attacks, so if Marco decides to block Kat's attacks he is definitely succeeding. It should also be noted that Marco will definitely use his flight advantage vs Kat and he will just use his agility/mobility to his advantage, so it also matters where the fight happens. U can probably try to scale Marco's speed around Kat's, cuz of Udon Luffy, but I am not getting into that rn.

Because that never happened , he sent him and queen flying all over the place and only queen was injured while king stood back up like nothing and zoro experienced the same situation later on for most of the fight , now back to the topic at hand don't forget katakuri has special paramecia DF he can instantly shapeshift at will which will help regardless of how powerful marco s' strikes are , furthermore contrary to popular belief marco cannot infinitly heal over and over he has a limit depending on his stamina , in fact he eventually ended up getting injured by king and queen (who don't even use advanced haki as we know currently) other than that i believe the fight between him and kat could go either way extreme-diff
I found this channel because of your video on Big Mom’s powerscaling. It’s a great video that proves why she is a top tier without plot induced stupidity. I would love to see a video about Kaido vs Big Mom (without PIS). Imo a lot of people, including myself, vastly underestimate Big Mom because of gags and plot conditions.
Advanced Observation is used by Katakuri, Luffy, Kaido, Shanks and the 3 og admirals. By extension, you can add Sengoku, Garp, Isho and Aramaki for obvious reasons. According to Film Red, Yassop has better observation haki than Katakuri. Also, in the latest chapter, Ben Beckman seemed to know what Kidd would have done to the fleet. You can tell by his speech to Shanks. So, they are atleast 13 adv obs users.
To be fair i think Oda either forgets or cant waist panels in showing off everyone haki feats, so sometimes we readers have a impression that some characters haki isnt that strong and we can be wrong. Marco probabily has some pretty decent haki capabilities, it simply wasnt showd to us.
People like using the Marineford wank, but when it comes to any other marineford by any other characters, "they are inconsistent, we don't talk about that" clown fiesta. Marco is known to be the strongest sandbag in the verse (fax). A medic guy with NO AP whatsoever, all he did to base form Queen is scratch him, with a named attack, WOW! What a feat! And people like to point out how he "FOUGHT" two Commanders of beast pirates, when it reality, he himself said that he was just STALLING them :"Not surprisingly, it's quite hard to STALL two with bounties of over a billion..." Hence the nickname, "Stall Stall". And I don't know about Marco having a greater Durability than Katakuri, how long did he last against Queen\King? Didn't seem that long whatsoever, and I'm sure that Katakuri can just keep on spamming attacks\awakening and keep on dealing damage to Marco faster than Queen and King did, and those guys weren't even really trying. I'm not saying that Katakuri is faster than those guys, all I'm saying is that katakuri's fruit allows him to spam a lot of attacks, and, as we know, ANYTHING, even bullets can damage Marco's phoenix form. Which would be a hard counter to Marco's regeneration. His phoenix form was seen to be cut with regular swords, no haki in those attacks whatsoever, by bullets as well, it is not hard to damage his phoenix form, Katakuri can just keep on spamming his version of Gatling Gun, which is stronger and faster than WCI's Luffy. Until Marco just rans out of his regeneration juice, and then it's over. And Katakuri was reaction to Snakeman, he's easily able to react to Marco, and then add futuresight on top of that, if we are being honest, Marco is not even landing a hit. And even if he was able to land some hits, Katakuri is taking them all day long, he fought Luffy for 10-12 hours. And if anything, he can just drown Marco with his haki-infused mochi.

the issue with marco is we never see him actually fight a drawn out battle when he’s not using his powers exclusivley for his fight for example when fighting king and queen it’s clear marco has the leg up in terms of speed and hax it’s just he lacks finishing power and was constantly healing everyone from queens poison. we also have zero idea how strong marcos haki is. so we would need to see him actually fight, and tbh i don’t think marco has reached his peak, i feel he could awaken his df in the coming arcs
I would definitely give it to Marco just based on his showings in Wano. He was toying with King and Queen at the same time and I know it wasn't a proper showing of all of their powers, but pre-advanced conq zoro was scarring Kaido and also having a lot of trouble against King. I don't see Katakuri having those kind of feats, and Zoro was below that same King that was equal if not below Marco
The gap in power pre wano and post wano is insane, the Luffy who fought Kata and defeated him lost against Kaido without being able to deal any damage in return while Kaido one shot him. A stronger Luffy(proven by how he was able to damage Kaido in just G3) thought about going into G4 to immediately get away from Ulti and using G4 to escape probably takes more stamina than G3 with ryuo. Queen scales above Ulti in every single department including speed and ap. I got Marco over Kata, almost a mid diff imo seeing how he was able to fight two commanders at the same time without letting them hit Marco even once when he was not tired. Marco's ap might be bad but Kata's durability is worse so damaging him shouldn't be a problem. Also I'd say someone who goes around the world travelling(for the most part) has more experience than someone sitting on an island controlling citizens(probably) while dealing with pirates from time to time. Also the Jozu not being able to break Doffy's thread shouldn't be used as an argument cuz that version of Doffy was using his thread to cover an entire nation and was tired from fighting like 10 people. Marineford war Doffy should be much healthier as we honestly didn't see him do much at all that would make him tired.

He overpowered prometheus with Bigmom speed and she only grab him because Marco was gloating about his Phoenix flames which gave BigMom the opportunity to grab him which is supported by the anime saying he was off guard. If you think Marco has an elemental advantage against fire, fine, but Prometheus himself is not just a natural flame; he is a flame brought to life by BigMom’s soul. what supports it more is he calls Marcos Flames mere flames, so he doesn’t consider himself in that caliber of flames. So it should just be equal in the scaling above normal flames, and Marco still overpowers him. He didn't even fight Perospero in the manga. And in the anime, that just him holding back cuz he later react to Perospero's mother who is way faster and stronger than kata who is faster and stronger than Perospero and he overpowers her. Marco is the only commander we’ve seen really hang with admirals. Like he did way better then king. Marco also tanked a boro breath with ease to save nami which is stronger then any attack we’ve seen kat do. Marco also is extremely fast and is made of fire so probably a bad match up for kat Kat durability definitely makes me put him at the lowest of the first commanders.

Ngl, I disagree, Marco held off 2 of kaido's strongest commanders, which is a meritocracy, so therefore, and we know that King was defeated by zoro, That zoro having conqueror's and mastered armament, and to be fair, katakuri is strong, but Marco has better endurance, and more overall similar if not better feats

Yeah I feel like kat is slept on because ge was defeated so long ago but tbh I think he was still better than luffy by the end of the fight, and he's one of the best well rounded commanders. Also he can just easily trap and suffocate marco so yeah.

I disagree with the notion that Vista and Jozu are on the same caliber as Marco. The Gorosei hyped up Marco and not the other WB commanders for a reason.

Clashed with 3 admirals and still left the war unscathed. In Wano, he was just a support character. He put a great deal of energy into healing the alliance and still was able to hold both King and Queen at the same time. He then later ate a boro breath like breakfast. As stated by Gorosei, Marco and the Emperors were the only ones capable of stopping Blackbeard.

The reason is because on the roof top in Wano Zoro scared Kaido Luffy could not and Luffy had already beat katakuri at this moment but Zoro still hurt Kaido. There's major flaws in your reasoning. 1 mingo strings get plot armor depending on when oda wants. Unless you also believe kyros is stronger than all of the allies on dressrosa including the likes of Fuji and Zoro because he cut mingo sting and they couldn't. Mingo sting had plot armor in mf because oda was hyping him. I don't think you should put weight behind it as it's just illogical to think base Luffy was physically stronger than jozu and is just another kyros situation. The next point is FS isn't reaction time. The better your reaction time the more use you can gain from FS. Just because kata has FS doesn't mean he has better reaction time. For example Zoro who doesn't have FS reacted faster than kaido could notice and Luffy could act despite both having FS. FS is dependent on reaction speed but just having it doesn't make have better reaction speed.

Marco is not the best in 1v1 fights but I'm taking him over 99% of the cast in an all out war. Him flying over the battlefield healing and saving people is clutch af

Marco couldn't put down two ancient Zoans for good, and couldn't hurt the Admirals, but he also tanked an attack from Big Mom and Kaido, Kat it's hurting him, and Marco will eventually show his actual AP, him and Kizaru were joking around with each other and he was only trying to hold King and Queen back, which he was doing successfully, which Kat couldn't do. Jozu making Aokiji's lip bleed is a weak argument, since Marco kicked Aokiji in the ribs, was he supposed to make Aokiji bleed internally? That would be too much. Marco has the Speed and defense, the only question is his AP, he was able to damage King and Queen at the same time, but he couldn't put them down for good, that doesn't matter though because Kat is a glass canon. Snake Man is Luffy's speed form, but it's not that fast compared to the high tier Wano characters because of superior Haki/overall power. WCI Luffy would job out to King, Marco and maybe even Queen. This is the opposite of what Kaido said, it's not that King and Marco are that strong, it's more so that Luffy and Kat were that weak. Are we forgetting the beating that King was putting on Zoro, the same Zoro that was outperforming Gear 4th Ryou Luffy as times, Marco was holding back King and Queen at the same time, which RT Zoro probably couldn't do.
If Kaido gets a bonus for holding up an island Marco should get a bonus for keeping dozens of people alive. I doubt Katakuri could hurt flame on King either, but he probably does have stronger attack power. One major thing against Katakuri though is that the man can’t take a hit. Sure he can block and dodge, but if actually connects he’s pretty hurt.
he was fighting luffy for over 10 hours, saying he cant take a hit makes no sense. Its just weird scaling ppl use. He apparently cant take a hit but was fighting for 9-12.5 hours. Seems consistent😭
@@D.Strawhat We’re shown very few hits that Katakuri takes. You can have a ten hour fight without getting hit once, especially if your opponent is taking this as an opportunity to train. The length of the battle really only hyped up Luffy, because he was the one tanking almost all the hits over that twelve hours.

Katakuri gets absolutely smacked, Marco can fight evenly with king and queen who both are stronger than Katakuri or at least King is objectively, Katakuri has garbage endurance and durability so Marco would just regen any damage taken and Katakuri might have better observation haki but it’s not like Marco can’t hit him at all so he’d just eventually beat him, as for speed, Luffy got blitzed by Kaido after surpassing Katakuri that same Kaido got one of his attacks blocked by Marco it’s quite simple, I feel like Katakuri will get way stronger though while Marco will probably just remain as strong as he is now meaning Katakuri will likely quite easily surpass him
