@@kimberlysfabricstash9256 I recently made this pattern and as a new quilter i struggled a little bit. I used charms and my seams were perfect but there were a few size discrepancies and i had to trim a tiny bit. Can you provide any pointers? I’d like to make another one.
1. Make sure you press all your seams with steam. 2. Make sure your foot is set for 1/4” seam allowances. 3. Don't change machines in the middle of a project 4. Make sure you press your large lining pieces prior to cutting them. I like to use some best press and iron. Then cut out the lining pieces. 5. Make sure your lining fabric is very good quality.
@@kimberlysfabricstash9256 Thank you so much for your response and your guidance. I don’t want this pattern to get the best of me and would like to make another one.
I have a Penny Sturges bow tuck pattern--or what she calls a pattern. Which it is not a pattern it is directions not a pattern. I have not made the bag because the DIRECTIONS are not easy to follow at all. I won't buy another of her direction packet. So your ad here for her stuff did not do it for me.
Hi Linda, There is a full pattern available to make the tote bag available here on my Etsy page. www.etsy.com/listing/236751484/charm-party-purse-tote-pattern-penny?ref=listings_manager_grid Thanks so much. Kimberly
