Charmaine Bucco played by Kathrine Narducci Also Artie Bucco played by John Ventimiglia #sopranos #quotes #compilation #clips #thesopranos #cinematic #thesopranos
YEAH i never realized until watching this compilation that she does the same hand gesture to her as her maid earlier - then repeats it with a look like 'cmon, over here NOW...' so subtle but so telling to charmaine that her friend doesn't regard her as an equal entirely. so she decided to give it right back to her, the same feeling that's why i love watching these sopranos montages and cuts of characters and plotlines - I coulda watched the whole series a coupla three more times and never caught that, or half the other things ive noticed in them!
If there ever a get-even tactic that needs telling on Carmella, it's Charmaine's testimony that she slept with Tony years ago when they were teens. Watching Carmella's mouth in a dumbstruck state is one of the series' most priceless moments I'll never forget.
@@isabelbeckerman9226I liked the one when Carmela was showing off the new car Tony bought her, then Big Puss's wife showed Carmela the car she bought for herself! That was true "Biotch Slap!" 😂😂
She was legit looking out for Artie and had his best interest in mind. Any person, man or woman, who does that for you is someone you hold onto forever.
Edie Falco is so amazing. Listen to an interview with her - she's the polar opposite of Carmela. That's really not the case for many other actors in the show, who really draw on their off screen personalities to make their characters. And more power to them. I'm impressed when there's such a dramatic disconnect between the character and the person.
@@wes11bravo Yes! Edie Falco is an AMAZING actress and deserves to be remembered among legends like Gandolfini, Vincent, and Loggia. I still stand by Whitecaps being the best episode, NOBODY could replace her. She was perfect. She had/has a profound way to write a novel in someone's head without uttering a word. Can anyone name a better actress from the past 20 years?
That was her mistake. There's plenty of them. Legal ones. Soros, Buffett, Altman and all the billionaire venture capitalists didnt become what they are through "slow honest work". Charmaine was sensible for a common woman. But nothing more.
They wrote her character wrong though. Not even one good Convo with her husband, always nagging. Even Tony's sister, mum and uncle were terrible people but they had good moments.
@@nikosgreek352 just buy a sex doll lmao what the fuck you think a life partner is for, if not keeping you from being THIS much of a dumbass all the time?
Charmaine Bucco genuinely looked out for Artie and had his best interest at heart. Any man who oversimplifies her as only “screaming, yelling, and nagging” is a man that cannot see a good woman and likely isn’t ready for one. You have someone in your life who stands by you, looks out for you, and has your best interest in mind, you hold onto them forever.
How ridiculous. This kind of toxic feminism is exactly why Artie kept on lashing out repeatedly. If his wife was so great, he wouldn't have any problems. But in that relationship he kept on sabotaging himself because that's what happens when a week man is taken control of by a controlling woman. His insecurity grows and he tries to prove himself constantly. That's what he did when he was stuck with Charmaine. She's a horrible nag and you calling her a good woman, is insane. This is exactly the toxic female behavior that gets so often ignored that leads men to so much disaster. Charmaine is not a companion she's a leader and any man who respects himself won't let his woman lead him. It's not even a partnership. It's a begging behavior by a woman who tries to break a mans spirit. Any person who can't see that, is enabling abuse. It's sadly just laughed at when a man is abused. Your comment is horrible and you are crazy to think what you say. If what you said was correct then Artie would have been leading a good life but he wasn't. His life was constantly in disaster and one of his biggest mistakes was staying stuck to a horrible witch who tries to wear the pants. Artie was weak and Charmaine was his biggest mistake. She's an even worse kind of female narc than Carmella because Carmella at least only preys money out of her husband. She is not a good woman. She's a parasite to Artie. If he found a woman who was actually attracted to him and actually in love with him then he would be so much happier and not constantly trying to prove himself to gangsters to feel like a better man. He owns a business but his unhappy relationship with Charmaine still keeps him lashing out, even though he owns a restaurant!! He's got it made but when you're stuck with abusers, and Charmaine abuses Artie, that's how people react. This ridiculous sentiment of woman are flawless and wives are a good thing to have is why so many men have problems in life. Even in the show the guys with the most problems are the ones who get married....
What a bad comment. His life was filled with constant insecurity because he was married to a nagging abusive covert narc woman like Charmaine. If what you said was correct then he wouldn't have gotten into disasters all the show length. But he did, because that's what being trapped with an abuser does. You are ignoring the reality of arties life in that marriage and only painting the situation he's in (his wife) as some kind of guiding light when in reality that kind of woman is exactly what inspires so much insecurity. Which is what Artie was, insecure. I hate this kind of behavior that enables woman to abuse men. If a man is too scared to leave a marriage he's mocked but if a woman is too scared to leave a marriage she's a victim of toxic conditioning? You want men to follow their roles as men but it's somehow, in your eyes, abhorrent to suggest woman even have roles at all. You enable this behavior. That's why marriages don't work out often in reality because problems are hidden away and all the blame falls on men. When in reality woman ruin most households.

The most keepable woman in the entire show. Head on straight, no mental issues or emotional problems, good moral compass, so used to being with her complete loser husband than she'll detail your car for you if you open a door once in awhile, great rack. et cetera.
@@blaze4metal The Fun Police? This fat ass gangster and his friends have been bleeding their restaurant dry for the last 20 years because her beta husband is too delusional to say anything to his friend. Come on, I don’t like her but I don’t hate her either. She’s stuck with an idiot husband who is trying to get their family in deep shit at every moment while his friend helps sink her business. I wouldn’t be thrilled either.
The people complaining about Charmaine, she was right with everything she said. If it hadn't of been for her, Artie would of been so much more involved with mob guys. His association with the mob already cost him so much: A hit being planned to happen in his restaurant, it getting blown up. His restaurant getting scammed by Benny as well losing American Express.
It would have been a debt that Arti and Charmaine would have to repay at some point, and knowing Tony, that debt would never be satisfied. Charmaine was smart to keep away from Tony like that. Tony and his crew are insidious.
I grew up around connected mens families. As a kid I was so jealous of the flash, fancy cars/houses/vacations…. In my 20s when everyone was going to prison pr murdered I understood
OMG!!! Thank you I was looking at her trying to figure out where I saw her!!! I could not place it, but you are right Bronx Tail she played the mother of C.
It's so interesting to watch these edits all these yrs. later with older eyes.. i never truly recognized what a genuine and down to earth character she was. She ripped Artie apart a lot, but for good reason. She knew how it all could go really wrong when Artie was dreaming of neon dollar signs on one of his get-rich-quick kicks. She was always looking out for them both.
Look at us Borko, look at how much your kids have grown up. They are all wise now, all wanting Charmaines instead of Adriannas. Whatever happened there. Beautiful.
5:09 I love this point on in the scene. Super passive revenge for that piss ass hand gesture, and acting like she worked her ass off to get where she is. Also 6:47 , that is the most egregious dubbing I've ever heard
@@fro_e Sometimes the script can change and it's likely cheaper to ADR the audio after filming than reshoot. Especially in this scene where you can't easily discern facial and lip movements. Having said that, it is quite abrupt :D
He reminds ike a classic restaurant owner preparing food like an uncle working the grill at a cookout! It's the dangling cigarette that gets me every time!😂😂
I sooooo love that girl. Arthur is fucking blind. I'm crying because I neither own such a beautiful, intelligent spouse, nor I own passionate-based business. Mob connections are not so important. Occiassionally it's not bad to borrow from different sources, but to NO support your wife when she's right, so supportive. I'd burn Arthur three times over just for that.
That's because she tried it, didn't like it, and ultimately knows Artie will most likely come home. Tony cheats on Carmela, and she is very likely to become a widow.
Katherine Narducci was such a natural beauty in A Bronx Tale and The Sopranos. Sadly, she got a lot of Botox and lip filler, that gave her an unnatural look. She would've been better off if she would've had nothing done, I'm sure of it. I hope women will soon realize that a little wrinkle here or there isn't a big problem. The women of the past who didn't have access to all this plastic surgery etc aged a lot more graceful compared to modern day celebrity women who can stop nipping and tucking.
Artie was such a good character, probably my favorite next to Bobby and Sil I used to love Chris and Tony but after re watching the show so many times I’ve come to like Artie the most. He’s a standup guy. Always got walked on but kept going on and striving, even fought back and would speak his mind freely, not disrespectful but concerning. Even when he was mad with Benny he was never truly disrespectful just willing to stand his ground and show he’s no pushover.
Surprised you didn’t include Tony’s dream w/ Artie coaching him while he makes love w/ Charmaine. I guess you decided to go the gentleman route. Which I respect. 🫡
