As time went along, their powers improved. This was when they first received their powers. They also learned better incantations and spells. "The power of three" was their very first spell after reading the incantation on the book. Phoebe has the power of foretelling, Piper has the power of freezing time/objects and Prue is the telekinetic one. It really does get better as the season goes along.

As kid my favourite was Phoebe. Rewatching it as an adult, I think it's Prue with Piper as a very close second.

My favourite is Piper, hands down.

Piper is my favorite sister. Growing up I was always the mediator between my sisters. I love Piper's powers too. I won't say much more due to spoilers.

Gets so much better … There’s often a lot of corny stuff in season 1 just like in buffy, so be patient, it pays off..

I love Piper. The first episode is not the best but the show gets better over time. You can’t really compare Charmed and Buffy as they’re both great in different ways.

I love the mix of drama and comedy moments in the series.

The clean up job for Charmed was insane. I've watched the whole show a countless number of times since I was little after my mum got me into it, and when I got my hands on the updated version it felt like I was watching a new show. You're actually seeing more material aswell because they got the old film and changed the aspect ratio. I can't wait for you to watch the rest of the show. Its a wild ride.

My favorite character isn't actually in the show yet but out of the cast right now in this...I guess my favorite is Piper.

I love all the sisters equally but my fav sister and power is Piper and Freezing time. The way her powers activate and the way the actress demonstrates is low unique on so many levels 💜💜💜

Originally I like Phoebe mainly cause I had seen Alyssa Milano in stuff before but quickly Piper became my favorite.

When I was a teen Phoebe was my favorite while Piper has always been kinda number two with Prue last but as I've gotten older Prue and Phoebe have switched for me. Hope that answers one of your questions.

The Show develops beautifully as it Progresses. Like Buffy , Charmed has its Sad, Dramatic yet Funny, Campy moments. Remember as Phoebe said, as Long as they didn't have their powers active they weren't on Evil's Radar. However once Phoebe cast The Spell , their presence is now sensed by all forms of Evil. Backstory, Shannon Doherty ( Prudence aka Prue) had previously starred on Beverly Hills 90210 (Brenda) , Aaron Spelling's show, he also did Charmed. Alyssa Milano (Phoebe) was a last minute addition and Cast Change. The role had already been filled by another actress, who had already filmed the Premier Episode. There's actually video online, RU-vid probably. Keep in mind , Every1 grows into their own Talents , So these 3 will also require some time as well.😉 Prue , the oldest has to be In charge because she feels responsible for her 2 younger sisters, therefore she's Type A (control freak) . Piper , as you said, is the Middle child, Peacemaker & Referee, who is always trying to be some1 other than Prue's younger sis or Phoebe's Older sis. Lastly Phoebe, The Youngest, the Wild child who isn't afraid of Risk and always ready for the next Adventure (You can see how She & Prue clash). All 3 Powers are Unique but perhaps I'd go with Piper's Power(Time)

I wouldn't say it's not meant to be watched this way, the team that worked on this remaster took a LOT more care in doing so than they did with Buffy, to the point of re-rendering the original vfx in HD instead of trying to replace them with horrible looking new ones

In the first 3 season Phoebe was my favorite, and I loved Piper(until She didn't open the club, I loved her dream was becoming a chef) And from season 4 Paige became my biggest fav

Also it makes me sad when it's compared to buffy, they're really not similar at all and both great shows even though for me charmed is better, never really got past buffy season 4 🤷‍♀️ anyways can't wait to see your reactions

After all my rewatches, I’d go season 1 Phoebe, season 2 Prue and season 3-8 Piper so I’d safely say that Piper is my favorite hands down. Just a note about Phoebe’s powers that in the pilot might not seem obvious due to the circumstances (I think already in the second episode things become a little more clear). The time span between the vision and that actually happening is not limited to 20sec, it actually varies. So yes, at this point I’d say her powers are the weakest but they’re not as useless as they seems. That being said, I look forward to the next episode of probably my all time favorite tv show🥰

"power of three will set us free" is something I think I will never forget, saw this title and wrote this comment and I have not watched charmed for many Y..... the original show is great, you can have a show about powerful females, without making it political like most shows are no days....btw im actually going to rewatch this now as well, thx for reminding me how good this original show was(will never watch the w0k3 reboot tho)

I always switched between prue and Phoebe. But I think I liked prue a little more because she was more grounded.

They did an amazing job with the HD version... Buffy HD on the other hand was botched. I hope you stick with it. Starts slow but definitely ramps up.

I enjoyed this show when it was running but I'd definitely not compare it to Buffy.. It'll lose.

My favorite sister was always Prue. I was a huge Shannen Doherty fan ever since the original 90210. Piper was ok in the beginning but after SD left I found her condescending.

There problem is not present on this show is just only specific shows, I don't know if you already see Buffy but the problem with that one is simple is just cut, you missed stuff on the screen, and see lights and stuff is not supposed to be on screen, the blue light is supposed to be present on sad scenes to create an atmosphere are completely lost, a lot of night scenes are not post processing darker as supposed and you see the sun, all the effects are not present,the skin has that washed effect, some cameras and lights are visible, voice scenes not synchronized, even the creator recommend not to saw that version, this remastererization is excellent because you can see the things as the way they made the concept for you. Some of the episodes of Buffy where really interesting to me on the first season other's little dumb, this show is to soft at the beginning, to be really honest with you a lot episodes of the first season are not so interesting for me, Charmed original get interesting on the second season, but the first one is mandatory to understand it .

1:43 i've only heard that about buffy because they did the hd versions very badly. do people complain about it for lots of other shows too? don't want things said about one show to be extrapolated incorrectly and have you argue against something that might not have ever been said about other shows.
