Same here. Josefina discovers her powers and they they're like 'no hang on a minute we need to do a reverse ritual to see if this really is your power' that to me seems hypocritical seeing as they literally came into their powers the previous season

But I wanna c them generated from the users like with other elements and manifest from nothing (to explain, causing a bush to spontaneously burst into flames and extinguish at will).
I guess the showrunners and producers of the reboot will hate me because I have my own theory about it. My theory is the following. The male child that Marisol had, who was Macy's twin brother, is Josefina. Marisol seeing that the child was endangering the power of 3, she decided to lose her sister who would take care of him and keep him away from magic. What she never imagined is that this same baby would become a great woman. What I hate most about this inclusive reboot and... they will deny Josefina being a bewitched because she is a woman. Now it turns out that magic understands between the sexes and not between feelings and mentalities. Don't forget that Josefina has the same type of hair as Macy and even when they smile.
The young generation that didn't grow up with the original finds this reboot to be cool but it's actually very lame. They could've done it about Piper's and Phoebe's children and it would've been better.
So let me get this, Macy, Maggie and Mel get their powers, embrace them, no arguments about it being unnatural. Josefina gets and embraces her as it's 'unnatural'. Hardly fair is it
What if this cousin is actually Maggie and Mel sister. I mean they make it sound like when where already introduced to her. That she's no mystery. We'll though I know that cousins can look alike. Maggie and this cousin does look alot a like. Maybe the name she's goes by isn't really her real name. Mel was even treating her as if she was her little sister. Mel seems to have the same older sister protectiveness towards the cousin that she has with Maggie. The cousin even made a similar comment to Mel over protectiveness That Maggie had. Maggie said to Mel in 2x02. That she'll only grow up if Mel would stop protecting her by keeping secrets and treating her like a child. In season three the cousin said stop protecting me and just trust me. Mel is 7 years older than Maggie. What if this unknown sister is inbetween Maggie and Mel's age? Where she's closer to Maggie's age.
I would love for this to happen, but writers chose Lucy Barrett as new CO.... If her ritual or spell used don't give her a bigger role for future seasons, the writers would be slick dissing her for not being chosen as new CO
This was so stupid. You set up a conflict with Josephina in getting her powers and being trans, and yet the thing that resolves her supposed arc about "finding out who she is and feeling powerless without magic" and she gets her powers by reading a random book in the college library? Ignoring the plothole about why the school would have a book like that it feels so simple and hollow, no journey or anything. Yeah its nice that her active power is controlling nature, but like that's it?
What I don’t like is that in this Charmed there’s no such thing as a male witch, yet a trans woman who was male can be a witch. I like this Charmed, but it seems very one sided and too woke for its own good. We need the introduction to Warlocks, just don’t make them evil.

Ok I'm a bit confused. I thought anyone who has a magical bloodline or family tree can be a witch, doesn't matter what gender it is. It's only when that power is used for evil they become a warlock. That's what was established in the first episode of the original charmed, Didn't that carry over into this version? Because if that's the case, then Josefina should be able to do magic no probs. And if she's doing a ritual to gain powers for herself to prove the point to her family, wouldn't that come under the whole 'Using Magic for Personal Gain' consequences. I mean the Witch definition and the Personal gain are pretty much the ground rules for magic in the Charmed world from the get go. There are some gaps in my knowledge when it comes to the reboot, but is that part of the new series or not? Because if not then that makes sense as to why this story arc with Josefina is there to begin with. I saw someone commented that Josefina could have started off as a villain then turn good which I think kinda happens here in a way. She has this obsession with getting her powers and making her point, if she continued on this path alone she could have ended up hurting people in the process of getting what she wants. But the scene with Mel getting her to think is a solid bit of character development because the whole point of a witch is using her powers to help others. If Josefina kept going the way she did before changing her mind, she would have become a warlock (By Original Charmed's logic). In the end, it doesn't matter who has the power or what kind of gender has it. What matters is what that person decides to use the power for. For good or for evil. I guess that's why the writers left that whole witch definition out from the original show so Josefina's story can work in this version if that's the case. And no personal gain consequences so that's how the stakes can be raised here. Mel putting Josefina on a better path probably the reason why she was able to keep her powers in the end. Josefina choosing to give it up to help others helps her to become the witch she wants to be. Proving you're just as worth as everyone else despite any superficial difference like colour or gender is important. But going overboard with it is another matter and being obsessed with that one goal can have negative effects. Because in the end, doesn't matter what you're skin is or what your gender is, all that doesn't matter because what makes a person is what they decide to do with their lives, who they like to hang out with, what they enjoy doing for a living, why do they do it, who they enjoying spending time with which can blossom into love, favourite past times and so on.

Some people really hate these characters and actresses only out of spite and bitterness . Yes it’s corny and awkward and the acting isnt always 100 but they do the best with what they are given , it’s mostly the writers. This scene was kinda underwhelming... they resolved Josephine going crazy within 2 mins... its pointless drama.. This woman has been powerless all her life and now she finally has power, then she goes to attack the charmed ones just to give up her powers a few mins later... what was the point of this scene.
Wish the trans was a regular on the show. I can't stand the Perfecti folks and Abigail shouldn't be the villain demon lady they need to bring Parker back now that Maggie has Jordan to bring more excitement with this love stuff. Mel needs to focus more on the kids at school with villains there kinda like Buffy so that they can start getting better with these storylines and not just focus on Macy and Harry. They should've let Macy's dad be from London with her lol so her and Harry could have an accent cause she is definitely a good actress but kinda talk like her mouth is almost closed.
I like Joséfina she's Paige and Billie mixed together, she just need growth and help.... Writers had her written in the wrong light and I hope she's a little younger than the COs so she could be the magic enthusiast, she said she saved money from her Quince and wanted to go to college. Why can't she join them Season 4? If OG excepted Billie under their roof and she wasn't family, Joséfina has a chance too and she could be their honorary CO and hope for her to have her own storyline that embrace her personality and lifestyle like OG had space for at least one or two extra character storylines which I would love for her to have than just adding new characters

It was confirmed that she is trans. She said her name was Jose or Joel or something like that and when she was male she was told by her family that she could never have powers because magic is only granted to females, so she transitioned herself into Josefina in order to obtain her powers.

Even in the original when Wyatt was born, Grams was hella shocked and a bit salty that Wyatt would even be considered to be baptized by the family and the ghosts because he was a boy baby and not a girl baby. They haven't brought it up in the remake but in the original, male witches were evil (warlocks), so its kinda shocking that there would even be good warlocks. Just my opinion.
@@brielove5314 THEYRE acting is cringy, they show no real emotion. The story is moving in a million directions. Their powers advance too fast for the time of pilot to now. This show is bad and seriously I wish it was good honestly I was excited before I saw the pilot and a few episode of each season, but this show honestly is horrible and honestly the og is a billion times better. This show wants to cool and be ahead in time then others but it sucks.

By season three they were so used to being charmed ones they got a lil sloppy that’s how they got caught vanquishing shax and how they got killed because they advanced so much up to that point . They became pro demon hunters in a short time this show speeds it up a bit because they have Harry and the elders to help train them but the originals basically did it all on their own . The acting is cringed at times but I think it’s because we aren’t use to Afro/Latino representation on screen . And writers and creators of the show are not used to representing Afro / Latinos , but I think by this season it’s really turned around. Tbh the original charmed was basically power rangers so nothing has changed really . And the new women are showing emotions , lots of them . I think it’s just really close to home since we loved the original so much
