I know im the minority but i like smaller square footage homes😅 Less to heat and cool and less areas to clean. I like the natural lighting in that house and the large deck outside. In the end though it makes sense for yall to chose a home closest to the lake.
Larger the more in air conditioning and heating costs . Beautiful home though and Aron is really quiet while you are both looking he doesn’t really say if he likes anything about any of them !
This house is lovely. I would prefer single floor, rather that all those steps to the bedrooms. You all will know when it is the perfect one! Personally, I love the home you own now!
Aaron is like my husband he just goes along for the ride 😂 I think Aaron won’t mind living anywhere as long as he has you with him. You and Aaron compliment each other. Love your videos. ❤ from a subscriber in 🇬🇧 xxx
Loved this one! Don’t get discouraged ok. My husband & I walked through over a hundred houses, no exaggeration! We had the best realtor ever! When you know you know, it just feels right! It took awhile but we found our perfect home. 🏡
That's a relief!! The one we are going to tomorrow is 5 minutes from the lake and so much closer to home. Crossing fingers it's the one but you touring 100 makes me think 5 isn't that much lol
I like this house but there is more to take care of and your utilities will be more so more cost each month. My husband and I bought our house before we got married and we looked at lots of homes and as soon as we walked in the front door we knew this was our home. Where we live you can call the utility company and give them the address and they will give you a estimate of the utilities. Good luck on the hunt.
I love these house tours Kimi! When hubby and i bought our home as soon as we walked in the door we knew it was home. You all will get that same feeling when it's the right one. But in the meantime... please keep showing us all these amazing houses!! ❤❤❤
Things to ponder….how much is the rent, the utilities, and how much do you want to take care of? In other words, don’t take on more than you can handle, in all aspects. Best wishes.
Remember you are relying on the viewers to keep viewing! Things can go sour very quickly.. don't do it for us..do it for you and Aaron.. hope you make the right decision...
Kimi, that house needs a good cleaning and I’d stay away from carpet with pets and renting! I love looking for your future rental home with y’all. It’s so fun looking at the different homes! I remember house hunting to buy and it stressed me out so bad. I didn’t think we would ever find a house and then we did and it was on a fancy little golf course and then I stressed out that I wouldn’t fit in with the other moms because I am NOT fancy lol! Turns out I met some of my favorite humans in that neighborhood. We moved out 14 years ago when my husbands job was relocated but we all still get together and they still come to family functions. I know everyone is telling you not to do this and I see their points too but if your heart is telling you to do it there must be a reason why! Maybe it’s to find some awesome bonus families like I did 😉
I do like that house a lot.. I would think of buying it’s much cheaper and you can do what you want and you don’t ever have to worry about being forced to move out
I love the openness of this home so much and the dark floors! I am a dark floor person!! And the loft above garage soooo pretty!!! 😍 by far my favorite out of them all!! Keep looking though to make sure it’s right for the both of you!!
Aww love that!! The third house we toured is my favorite but this one is right there with it. The dark floors are pretty I think they may have been wood but idk
It's cute but too big and has stairs😂. I Like the Garden tub. For me it's a no. I think get one like in a lake neighborhood maybe waterfront then you will need flood insurance though. Also no stairs. But yall do you. Just my thoughts!
All of them in the size we're looking for have stairs so Aaron's alright with that and it will give us some good exercise haha. It's a perfect size for us as we're looking for homes in the 2,000 sqft range
❤ Hi Kimi, Aaron and fur babies. Pretty house. I have had the two story and even three story homes. Loved them at the time but some issues with both our healths made us say, let's sell for something more managable. Plus, we had some pets moving into the senior years and for them stairs were also an issue. The floors to me looked like laminate and the vinyl flooring which are fine and a little easier to take care of. I have had the wood and title floors as well. The door in the ceiling of the closet is to the attic of the house. Yes, that was a garden tub. I like the jetted tubs personally and even the hot tubs. They are great for people with joint and arthritis etc. They make you feel wonderful and I did use mine twice a day. As long as you follow easy upkeep they so easy to maintain and clean. The counter tops are the laminate type material but easy to maintain of course. Just make sure that you can have utillity trailers or boat trailers. Some have no problems with them but then some places do. In the end it is wherever you and Aaron are happy that matters and fits you best. I'll be rooting for you all the way. I enjoy your videos each time and have followed your channel from pretty much the beginning. I don't comment often but I'm always watching. Sending much love and blessings from southeast Georgia. God bless and keeping you in my prayers daily. PS .... remember to take out renters insurance. That will cover your belongings and comes in handy for sure. Just the mother bear in me wanting to look out for her cubs 😊🙏😊🙏😊🙏😊🙏😊
Have you considered renting a one story home? Depending on the square footage your utility bills could be cheeper. Myself, I love older homes, they have so much character. I also like less square footage, they feel so cozy. I have lived in an older home & a new built. Small & large. Love seeing the homes with you 🍁🎃👻🧡
I can only imagine what the electric bill would be for a house that size. If you plan on using the fireplace, how much will a cord of firewood cost. I would be worried about the area across the street.
The houses are really nice, but the stairs are a lot. Do you think you would look at double wide mobile homes as well? I’m happy for you guys, hope you find what your looking for, glad to come along and see.
Very lovely Kim. I do understand why you want to rent first. Do you know if most rentals are for a year or is there some that have 6 mo. leases? We bought a new double wide home. We love it! I say if it makes you and your hubby happy go for it and that is what matters. You probably will know when your lease is over whether you want to go that route of buying a bigger home. You have made so many beautiful changes to your mobile. It will be nice when you feel like going over to the mobile for a more cozier small space. I pray for many blessings for you and your hubby. Being happy is most important, honey. 🫶🤗❤️
My daughter lives in NC and her and her husband are currently house hunting bc their family has grown. You’re right about the prices. However, at my age, I do like having room but it’s a lot to clean lol. I agree with you I like the warmer colors of this home. So many of them are all gray. I think by touring many you will get a better feel for what you want to try. It’s hard to picture online. That was fun! I’m sure you’re getting so excited! 🍁
I love this one. That house was very peaceful and cozy. I'm a detailed person, so i love all the details. i love the deck and the yard. The floors are very nice. I know men look at yards, garage, and their special man space. I know you two will find the house that fits what you both like. It's out there. Location Location Location
I like that house it's so nice big deck lot.of room for ur patio set looks like alot of room inside this rental house so nice n cozy I would say this is the best one u looked at so farrooms good n spacious nice home inside n out is garage attached to home or notwow got a pantry nice touch they r nice to have for sure wow I like the loft nice extra space
Kimi, Thank you for taking us along on your house hunting . I hope you find the perfect home and close to a lake for Aaron. God Bless. Sending love all the way from Alabama, Chry♥️🙏
I really didn’t get WOW vibes from this one, but that’s just me. I am a firm believer that you will instantly know the one for you when you see it. I know you said you would not be moving until the new year but if you found one now would you go ahead and take it? Just curious. ❤
This was by far my favorite. I fell in love with the inside of this home. It had so much charm and character. I like a smaller yard like this one too but I am older. LOL. I fell in love with the deck and the view was lovely. Sad that the location was not better. Also if you could find one without 16 steps might help you guys. It looks like you would have to carry laundry up and down. But all in all, this would be a dream home.
As you look for houses, get a copy of what utility costs have been. It is sometimes surprising to see what the heating and air conditioning run. Especially in multi- level homes. This house just had too many stairs for my liking. I agree with Aaron the wood floors are beautiful, but not a fan of carpeting. Also, Kimi you would have tired of lugging laundry up and down the stairs. 😂
This one had a nice layout, like you the third one was more my style. Now that you both have seen a few houses you know what appeals to you. Since it’s a rental, at any time if the stairs get too much it’s easier to just move than having bought one.
Rents are dictated by the area you are looking. There are nice homes, but in areas that have too many stolen items and break ins. Higher rent for safer area is better. I guess it depends where you live and how large your city is.
I wondered duz it have a basement,,,or did I miss something,, ,I really like this one,,its definitely charming 😍 the floors are beautiful & the cut outs in the living room are real cute,,its definitely pretty but those hi ceilings can be expensive to heat & cool 4 sure,, everyone says its hard to find affordable rentals but you've shown us 4 do far,,,woww!! good luck 👍 💓 ✨️ 💗 💖 💜
Good evening Kimi and Aaron and Chloe and Margaret and Lucille. Enjoyed watching this house hunting video. Love the house. It is very spacious and bright. Have a Blessed weekend 🙏 😊
Hi Kimi, I kept trying to rub off the two spots above your head, then I realized it was the chains on the ceiling fan lol😄that was a nice home. Thanks for bringing us along. ❤Brenda
There you go…decorating lol Love it 😂❤ I really liked that one! I liked the one with the wrought iron railings too. The one you decorated for Christmas while you were there 😂 (which I agree with you…those railings would be beautiful at Christmas) that one and this one this evening are my 2 favorites! Y’all will choose what suits you best ❤❤
Well that was a cute place, love all the spaces for decorating, and the one in the bedroom way up in the air looked big enough for a bunk lol ty for sharing this 😆👍💛.
A rental like that where I live runs between 3 and 4 thousand. Different states I guess. I would love to find a nice house for under 2000. One bed apartment is that much around here. Hope you find a good one.
Oh wow! Yes North Carolina in certain parts has very affordable living but I've heard other states like California, Florida and Texas have high cost of living
I wasn't impressed with the kitchen, very small for the size of the home. The pantry door not opening all the way because of the fridge would be a no for me, you mentioned that as well. Floors were nice. Having 18 stairs to climb would also be a deterant, I currently only have 13 steps to get upstairs for the bedrooms. With Aaron's back issues there may be a problem in years to come. The drop off the deck was pretty big & on a slope, hard for mowing. Glad you said this one was not for you. I think you have done a great job remodeling your current residence, I can't figure out why you would want to move. Are you still interested in homesteading? 😊
Hey kimi I don’t like those attics cause I stayed in an apartment before an I had turned this man in for destroying the laundry rooms with a crowbar an getting all the quarters out an it was right in f ont of my house so one day I noticed that when I came home from work the bread was out like my kids made a sandwiches so I asked them they said they wasn’t doing that so then the next day the manager showed up at my door with the cops an told me to come outside an I’ll be damn if that same man had been living up there the whole time so I WILL not move anywhere with an attic an if I do I will mail it shut
Well..that was cute..kitchen seemed small( counter space) wise for the size of house.I liked the porch in back& yard& Aaron's game room. Well..onward& upward. Love you guys..🙏👍🥰🍄🎃🧚♀️👻🌴
Beautiful homes ur looking at, but I hope u stay true to yourself & not get too materialistic. I watched Love Meg in the beginning. She was relatable & humbled. Then she grew her channel & so did her ego. I understand wanting to increase our wealth. But..........
If you knew Megan like I know Megan you wouldn't believe that. Megan is the closest thing I have to a sister besides my sister lol. I think some may have seen what she had and made assumptions about her but she is just like me. She appreciates things without those things meaning anything. I wouldn't be friends with someone that only cares about stuff. I am friends with people that are joyful, abundant in the mind and compassionate and she's all of those things. She loves animals, finding a good bargain at thrift stores and making it her style and she loves kind people. Not trying to win you over, just putting in a good word about my friend. She didn't change when she left the mobile home. People changed the way they saw her and I pray that people see me for me and not for the possessions I have. I wish that for everyone. Whether you have less or more, we are all equal
I'm not sure if you've seen her lovemeg 2.0 channel but if you find her videos of her in the lake house that is how she is today. Very peaceful and a heart of gratitude.
Very nice home for the money. Loved the deck and living area. Seems to have good storage…Lots of steps and I’m not sure that’s a good thing. I think you’ll know when you come across the right home. Thx for including us…🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
I am enjoying house hunting with both of you. But I reserve judgement unless something looks blatantly bad. It is your decision to make . You and Aaron are level headed and will make the best decision when you find the house for you.
Kimi can’t wait till see more I still hooked on the second one .i love watching.i don’t know why people hate renting.i am 60 and never bought a house.you do what you and Aaron heart says❤
Oh yes that house was our favorite Aaron still talks about it but said it's a little far from fishing. The one we are seeing tomorrow is so close to a lake hes excited
I like looking at houses with u it's fun n so diffrent for ur channel which I think its good for ur channel I sure u will get subscribers with this kind added to ur channel does this house allow pets
The loft can be your studio for podcast I hope Aaron get to live by his lake were he likes to fish and a yard for his trailer and boats be nice to live close to your same location maybe without so many steps
