I just received the invitation for the PI. The guidance shared by the coordinator mentioning slide presentations are not permitted, is that a new policy?
Hi This is very useful video. I am preparing for my CPEng application. Can u pls share with some tips when preparing the 15min presentation. What should we include mainly? Thanks heaps
Hi Nishantha, your assessor will guide you on what to include in your presentation. But in my case, I have some slides showing my educational background and work experience. Then I focused on 2 projects in which I manifested some of the competencies. Then from there the panel will ask questions.
Is all the interview the same? As I just received an email for 60 mins interview and formal presentations are discouraged. And I also need to submit the training and experience report. Do you know it is a new requirement?
Hi, Thanks for the video, It is really useful. I am preparing for my industry review, but I didn't get it what should I write on it. Should I write the experience from a particular project? Could you please share an example?
Hi Justin. Yes you can write how you have attained a certain competency through an experience from a project. But make sure that you have something ready as proof just in case Engineers Australia will look for it.
Hello sir, just want to ask for a favor if you could share the cv and cpd sample format you have submitted for my reference. Moreover, your videos were very helpful indeed.
Hi, I am civil/ structural engineer moving to Australia as a permanent resident by January 2023. I have 6 yr experience as a Strl eng & 6 year as a civil engineer in India & UAE. Should I start the process only after working some pretty long period in Oz or start immediately after landing thr ? thanks you for your video !!
Congrats Anoop for your PR visa! In my case I started collecting evidence for the competencies and building networks as possible industry reviewers when I arrived. When I thought I was near completion, then I lodged my application. It took about 3 years for me to do the initial steps. So it was a gradual process for me. Hope this helps.
Hi one small question, once I have recived CRD asssessment can I apply for Charted Engineering Australia (CP Eng) from my home country or I need to get Australia PR first?
Hi Akshit, one can apply CPEng even if not PR or even if outside Au. This is common for lead engineers in consulting companies outside Au but have projects here.
