Also,if one wish to work or practice on own as Consultant Engineer or Consulting Engineer, one should be Chartered Engineer or PE in concerned discipline in Europe or US respectively
Hi SIr., Thanks for the info.. Whether Fellow membership is required before applying for Chartered engineering..?? . Similar Memberships we have in IMEI., ie., Institute of Marine Engineers.. Possibility of Chartered engineer through that..??
Can a mechanical engineer with marine engineer (gme) with one year certification becomes chartered engineer? In this case we need to provide transcripts for mechanical engineering or marine ( certificate course for 1 year) . As we are adding the experience based on gme
Hi, I believe it is better to consult with IEI regarding the same, as they will be able to provide more clarity. In my opinion you can provide both the transcripts and apply in Marine Engineering division.
Sir will it counted as it's only an year course with certification in marine , not a proper degree where as major is in mechanical engineering ( a complete 4 year degree) , that's my confusion
I recommend to approach IEI directly(over phone or email) as either case their decision will be the final one. In my opinion, the division alloted is based on your professional experience in that field, rather than the original bachelors degree.
