Ceri, both of these projects are lovely! Thanks for explaining how to place the word stencils for the gelli print and stencil. I would have ended up with backward words without your help.😊
SHRIEK....splatters ...lol xx Waa....what a fantastic video. Even if you're not doing the Colour Combo this is a great demo of very cool techniques. I think both the 12 x 12 and the cards came out brilliantly. I have your Industrial Letters stencil AND also made my cardboard texture plates so I will have a go at this. I already have a "project" in mind... 🟤🔵🟢 BIG HUGS XXX
Love your background, but I love the postcards even more. I like the idea of using the magazine pages, especially considering they could later be used themselves in another piece. I hadn't thought of that, so thanks for the ideas!
It is actually warm here for a few days - highs in the 50's (Fahrenheit) lows in the upper 30's to lower 40's. It's been quite wet - it's the northwet - er, uh - I mean, northwest. 😁 But that's great - I'm about to be a grandma for the first time! 😃 They're in eastern Washington area so no snow right now; perfect! Watching your videos is so relaxing for me as I unwind at the end of the day, and when I'm hurting enough that I don't want to move. You also get my creative juices flowing. I believe that after I make a quilt for my grandson I'll finally step waaay out of my comfort zone and work on some gel plate art on my 5"x7". I'm looking forward to it! 😊 Enjoy your winter days, and stay warm! ❤
I expect to see some transfer from the magazine strips. Interesting that it just lifted. That means I am not waiting for things to dry on my plate. My plates have been in the storage drawer. Time to condition and start making some fun prints.
It’s so much fun to look how you work on a gelliplate❤️ I’m learning a lot and I bought today so many colors paint I can’t wait to use them on the gelliplates. Thank you Ceri for all your tutorials
Your page turned out wonderful, Ceri! Even though I don't care for gelli printing, watching you create layers inspires me of how I can do the same thing except digitally in Photoshop. I love fading edges of graphics to get rid of straight edges and I play with transparency quite a lot. Seeing you utilize words in your project is something I've not thought of in this manner. I am even contemplating getting the stencil of the industrial words. The project I am finishing at this time has to do with child labor at the turn of the last century. I've used historical photos of the children in mills and factories so the words on your stencil would have worked perfectly in my designs. Always something to learn!! Thanks for giving us your time and sharing your knowledge with us!!
Good evening dear Ceri, 🤩 I just love watching you create! You are always such a joy! Thank you so much for sharing all you do. Have a blessed evening, hugs 🤗 ❤
Loved watching this, Ceri. I think I agree with you about not using splatters ALL the time. But HERE I'd have been thinking about using the terracotta and the greens as a nod to industrial rust. Great result you got with this.
