There is a charvel skatecaster from the early 2010s with a floyd rose. I have the skatecaster with the tune o matic, but they definitely made them with floyd roses too

There's also SBS guitars with that, they're cheap but I haven't heard a whole lot, so take a look ig?

May I introduce you to the Charvel skatecaster. I have a matte black one with black chrome hardware. EMG 81/85, Floyd 2000. Paid $265 for it a few years back

My thoughts exactly. I have one of the skatecasters from the 00s put some duncans in it i love it but now they could do it with a legit JM body

Gotoh 1996T is the GOAT. especially for people upgrading from FR Special or cheap licensed floyds.

Not to dismiss your feelings, but for what it’s worth, I think the shell pink DK24 and the white with gold hardware are some of the prettiest S style guitars I’ve ever seen

Floyd Rose sell a push-in bar for like $30, it's much better than the stock screw-in bar. I change it on all my Floyd Rose trems.

I was thinking the same about the Steve Brown look. I wish the Steve Brown series came in an unrelic'ed version. I'd be all over that.

Gretsch? no. question, have you ever seen a reliced guitar that had real binding on the body? you relic over binding you have just reduced that guitars lifespan by DECADES. it will fall apart 50 years sooner now. when you get a Gretsch Penguin they have a "forearm protector" right where the guitar wears through the finish first. they are being diplomatic calling it a "forearm protector", they don't give a crap if you arm gets cut off, it's there to protect the guitar from your forearm, not the other way around. Gretsch could relic the "Junior Club Jet", it's solid Nato, the binding is fake, painted on. it's the "Les Paul Special" of the Electromatic Jet. but that's a 300 dollar guitar covered in *thick* poly, you'd need industrial sand-blasting equipment to relic.

@@fistovuzi they have other options like the baritone and a few other cheaper ones that they could do a relic on and just not do the body. I don't see getting an MIJ one with all the binding getting that, but Gibson does it on similar so maybe a USA in nitro

@@zanzabar4ky7 USA made Gretsch is custom shop. if you want reliced, i guess they'd do it. but it's unlikely anyone at that particular workshop would be versed in the practice. when you get a USA Gretsch it is handbuilt over the span of *many* months by a certified Mastercraftsman Luthier. you are kept up to date on the build with regular updates via text/multimedia by the one person making your instrument. no other hand will touch your guitar before it is completed. not exactly a "road" guitar that would acquire "road" wear. it's a home, studio guitar. and once you start getting Fender China to Nitro-coat and relic some Electromatics they would near double in price. and the binding on the Electromatics and most Streamliners is real. the only way would be to take the Junior Club Jet, improve it's appointments *slightly*, give it a nitro finish with optional relic, and put it in the Electromatic line for double the current price. it would not only work, it would make a LEGIT "Gibson Les Paul Special" of the Junior Jet instead of the "Epiphone Les Paul Special" that it is now.

Fender have been doing "Road Worn" ie factory relic on Stratocasters, Teles and so on since 2008.

@@Echoes- I don't think the mim were popular. They did a really bad job with the Polly finish and relic with the original run. They sold ok, but not at s premium like the evh pulled off
