If you'd like to learn how to apply for this card before this INSANE welcome offer expires, check out this link to help support the channel: yourbestcreditcards.com/card/chase-ink-business-cash?ccid=1043 Thank you so much for watching! Is this a card you're looking to apply for right now? If not, what other cards are you eyeing?

If you are a contracted employee would you qualify as a sole prop?
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
@@brodeebell7002 To my understanding, independent contractors are generally not sole props unless you own your own business where you provide services under employment contracts. So if you're just making money through 1099s you could probably call yourself a sole prop. But if you're an employee getting benefits and everything that may not qualify you as a sole prop. I'd just look at it from a high level though... are you running your own "business" or no? And do you pay income taxes on all your profits or does an employer pay for some of your taxes for you?

Amazing video, thank you so much for sharing real value! I have one question, and it would be great to hear your advice about that. I'm living in Europe, have US LLC as non-resident and do not have any business card yet (I'm 18 year old). I'm going to get Chase business cash credit card. Do you think it's okay to apply for the card just with EIN or it's better to obtain ITIN first and then apply for the card?
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
Thank you so much! To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what the most optimal approach is. I'd say you could just apply under your EIN, but in the application you also have to provide your SSN or ITIN I believe which would answer your question right there. Let me know if you find something different though! @@ОлексійКонц-ъ3п

Great job capitalizing on that super high offer on the Chase Ink Cash before it goes away. @@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Visa and MasterCards version go on sale often, both of them seem to work fine. People pay bills like utilities where they wouldn't get a multiplier, use them to buy stuff like normal, or prepay stuff. Congrats Spencer! I have a great idea for a future video that'll be helpful for me as well as a lot of others! At the end, you created a Chase online business profile, which is separate from your personal online profile. To transfer your business UR points to your CSP, you'll have to combine both profiles together. I've heard that you have to merge your personal profile into your business profile to do this. Could you make a how-to video on how to do this? It may be super simple, but I'd really like to see what that process is like since I haven't combined mine yet as I don't have any personal UR point earning cards at this point. Great video! I haven’t tested their limit on that, but people product change to this card all the time and end up having like 3 Ink Cash cards at a time. They treat each of their cards as separate products even if they’re in the same family, so you can get the SUB on both of them back to back if you wanted! How long should I wait after I have officially dropped out of the 5/24 rule? Like if I received a card on March 31, 2021 and it is now March 31, 2023. Can I apply the next day on April 1, 2023 or should I wait another month to make sure it comes off my credit report? I’m wanting to also apply for a chase ink but I don’t have a business and was wondering if it it ok to use for personal use to get the points for it. Thanks and love your great content and videos!
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
Great question! I have read that the safest bet is to wait until the 1st day of the 25th month to be sure you have that card drop off of your 5/24 count. However, it seems some people also get approved right when that 24-month clock is up, so I wouldn't be able to tell you for sure. To answer your second question, what I'll tell you is that a very high percentage of people who apply for business credit cards also put personal spend on those cards to a degree. Personally, I put a good amount of personal spend on my CIC to hit the SUB and saw no repercussions. Everyone has a different risk tolerance, and while this technically isn't allowed, I've never met someone who has had an issue because of it. If you want to see more data points, I would look up a similar question on Google and some Reddit links will probably pop up that show people's experiences with it. Hopefully that helps a bit! And I appreciate the kind words!

Thanks for the quick responses. That does help and I just would love to capitalize on those business cards. I actually have a question connecting the two I just asked. If it is my first business card I am applying for with chase and I am at 4/24, would it go on my personal credit score as I would be using my own social and it is my first one? Also just wanted to make sure that both the ink unlimited and ink cash are redeemable for points that can be transferred to either sapphire cards? Thanks again!
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
@@MPG2014 Not a problem! Business cards do not report to your personal credit and will not add to your 5/24 count. However, you will still get a hard pull on your personal credit report for the Chase Ink cards specifically. This goes for most business card applications (except for Amex if you already have Amex cards before applying for another one) and that's becuase it is still your personal credit history that they will ultimately use to help approve you, especially without any existing business cards. In my experience, you still put in your SSN for any business application since it all ties back to you at the end of the day. You can always apply however you want (as a sole prop, corporation, etc.) but your SSN is still required. And to answer your second question, yes you can transfer the points from the CIU, CIC, and CIP onto your personal cards. As long as it earns UR points, you can transfer it between other UR point earning cards. The Chase Ink Premier is the one that's not able to be transferred to other cards, but that is not a card I'd recommend in the first place. Let me know if that helps!

Still scared to apply for this, I have sold some odds and ends here and there in the past that everyone says will count for this, but I don’t see how I can spend to get the sign up bonus unless I’m putting rent on it…which seems like it would be flagged?
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
Really anything counts as a business for these applications. You'll just need to have expected annual revenues and expected monthly expenses for something outside of your normal 9-5 job. I can't tell you what exactly is flagged and what isn't but rent is something that can be put on any credit card including a business one. I personally will be writing off a portion of my rent this year, so if you can put it on this card and that makes sense for your situation, I don't see why it would get flagged. It's a legitimate business expense (at least part of the rent payment) for those that have their "business" from home.

Hey Spencer, do you think it’s alright to put an engagement ring on a business credit card? I just might have a hard time hitting the 6k spend limit organically, but when buying this ring in the next couple months I definitely want to maximize my CC rewards
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
I’ll try to summarize my thoughts on this as quick as possible. In reality, all these lenders care about is that you use their cards. A lot of places you look will tell you that putting personal charges on business cards is no big deal. There is a very rare case when someone gets called out by it, but that’s generally if they never use the card, ask for a retention offer or something, and trigger some kind of questioning about what you use your card for and such, but I really haven’t found more than like 1 or 2 of those cases in all my research. I’d say 99% of people put personal charges on their business cards, and as long as you don’t write all those charges off, you shouldn’t worry about it. Especially if you’re applying for business cards as a sole prop. No one can tell you which one of your charges is personal or not if you’re applying stating that you are your own business… there’s a lot of grey areas in the business credit card world, and although these cards have hidden sections in the TOS about not using their cards for personal purchases, as long as you use their cards frequently, they’re making money, and they should be happy. Hopefully that helps a bit! Obviously not financial advice and I can’t promise anything, but that’s how I think about it with my cards.

hey Spencer off topic question I been meaning to get a card to use on Amazon purchase. What do you think is better the Amex prime business or the prime chase visa? Or do you have any other cc recommendations that are 5% or better for online purchases like Amazon. Thanks
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
I'd say it depends on your 5/24 count and whether you want to add to it or not! If you don't, go for the Prime Business with Amex since it won't add to your count. If you don't care and want the personal card instead, add the Prime Visa. You can also look at the Affinity cash rewards card. It gets a lot of great rewards including 5% back at Amazon, but it's with a credit union so you'd have to take that into account. Those are my thoughts on it at first glance!
@Ragnar0321
@Ragnar0321 Год назад
@@SpencerJohnsonOfficial I been told the Amex card takes an Amex card slot is this true? And as for the 5/24 I don’t care since I personally don’t like chase cards and only have one card with them with no plan to get more unless the Amazon card is better somehow.
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial
@SpencerJohnsonOfficial Год назад
Ah yep good point too. I always forget about the 4-6 Amex card rule. Yes it does take one of those slots. If you don’t care about 5/24 then I guess it doesn’t really matter what card you go with. You can also get approved for the Prime Visa with Chase while over 5/24 I hear. I haven’t tested myself, but a lot of people have shared that DP with me.

Just learned that getting a Chase biz card while at 4/24 doesn't put you at 5/24. I am getting Chase Preferred in April so might have to seriously consider a Chase business card in Feb or March. I likely will go for the Biz Unlimited though since it has 12 month 0% APR.

I got links for that one too in the description if you're interested. It's one I haven't needed yet since I have the CSP, but it's a great card to have if you don't have the personal version. Yes, it’s good practice to pay every single credit card on time and in full every month. Correct! You just have to fill out the application exactly how I explained in the video! You'd be applying as a sole proprietor which basically means you yourself are the business. And no you would never need to provide returns unless you stated you were making a ton of money from a business and they wanted to confirm. They do request that sometimes if you apply as an LLC, but I think that's much less frequent if you apply as a sole prop. Like I said in the video, just make sure you have a reasonable expectation of revenue and expenses from something outside of your 9-5 and you should fine even if they did request a review of your income or something.
