I'm looking forward to the summer where I can enjoy a car ride late at night with the windows down feeling the cool crisp air on my skin, while I sit back and watch the street lights as they flash by.
Dunno if it's only me but This and many ohter song uploads have like hteir base volume way lower than the mass of songs uploaded to youtube, and it's a tendency for sub focus in general, is it just me or there is some pattern to it, as well as some thought, like if you listen to it on speakers and so the song doesn't distort at higher volumes when the sound is amplified ?
Songs uploaded to UKF will be capped at lower bit rate to stop people illegally downloading the material in high quality, a 198 KPBS rip will sound a hell of a lot weaker or empty compared to a lossless WAV to FLAC or even 320 mp3..
***** You're right, but I think RU-vid doesn't support more than 192 or 256 kbps anyway, I think it's related to song mastering and one of the version of this song might have been remastered slightly for the upload, but I don't know much about such things :D
element3663 Its nothing to do with mastering, an artist is not going to pay for 2 masters and have one developed just for youtube. And your first point kinda proves what i said, youtube only supports 192 audio files which will instantly make this sound shit compared to a 320 or lossless audio.. Original artist/lable would have sent high quality then it ould compressed down to what you are hearing now
