Huntsman spiders are beauties! They don't build webs (they're in the other family of spiders known as 'ground dwelling') - instead they proactively hunt, running around looking for insects, spiders and so on - or even a mate. They're even fast enough to catch cockroaches, so they're actually a really handy friend to have around the house. While I usually capture indoor spiders to release them outside, with Huntsman's I just leave them (they're always "moving on"!). Their venom is mild and usually only requires hospitalisation if you have a rare allergic reaction, but they're not interested in humans - I consider them totally harmless if you simply leave them alone, as they will you. Isn't it amazing how they can seemingly defy gravity and walk(/run!) upside down? The one in this video is relatively young and small (their legspan can get up to 15cms or 5 inches), and live for around 2 years. When you have a Huntsman spider working for you for free you never find yourself having to use pesticide. I feel it would be cruel to keep Huntsman spiders as pets, as they like to explore the world ... they're very different from say tarantulas.
