I have a question about what I should use, how to use it, and where to use it at Quincy during this time of year because I've gone skunked every time I've been there this year
This time of year is tough, especially with the weather changing almost daily. Slower presentations work better, so drop shots, TX rigged soft plastics, wacky worms and jigs tend to work better than moving baits. As the water warms up, which is has some lately, the bass will hit chatterbaits, spinner baits and crank baits more often. Hope this helps!
Dude I love your vids. I sent a sub thanks. I just started All Terrain Fishing. All about local Colorado fishing spots , including mountains !!!! Thumbs up keep it going.
Thanks! You can definitely catch big bass from the banks at Quincy! Check out some of my other vids as some of those I catch bass from the east bank and the dam at Quincy. This time of year can be tricky as the water is still a little cold and the bass are not really that aggressive nor have many of them moves up shallow. Your best bet this time of year is probably to fish off the damn. As the temps warm up, bass will start moving up into shallower water and there are plenty of spots to catch them off the east side banks. Since they aren't quite as aggressive right now, slower moving and finesse style lures may catch you a bass. Jerkbaits, texas rigged soft plastics, drop shots, wacky worms will be some of your best options now. Just be careful fishing off the dam as you can get hung up and lose your lure(s) fishing off the damn...I've got quite a few lures down there myself!
I enjoy watching your vids man!! I went to quincy reservoir and had no luck.. lol.. also because I'm a beginner.. went to aurora reservoir too. is there any other ponds I can go to around that area? since I live around there and also is it legal to fish at local ponds ? thanks!!
thanks! most of the ponds are up NW Denver metro area and as far as I know, it's legal to fish ponds in Aurora (if you can find any) as long as you have a fishing license.
Yep, I'll definitely get one before next spring. Gonna be a rubber one to as the one I have now has holes in it from me cutting out stuck treble hooks.
Thanks, just been a busy end of the year and Christmas and Holiday season for me and the family. Also, just about everything is frozen around the Denver metro, so no fishing for me until around March. I just can't bring myself to get into ice fishing! I should have some time coming up soon and hope to do this month's LTB vs MTB and along with a review video of No.8 Tackle Blackout rods.
Hahaha, I do don't I! A new net is on my list and I need to get a rubber one as this one has lots of holes from me cutting stuck treble hooks out of it.
Sorry Conner, not sure what you're asking, but the water is still cold @ Quincy, so the bass fishing could be really slow as the bass will probably be in deeper water and not chasing much. Slow finesse style presentations will probably work best. Trout however, may be a little more active and you may see them up in shallower water. Good luck!
