Nienke is crazy. Casually finishing a PHD while killing it on trail and road professionally. Unbelievable. And then the change of scene to wildlife Africa - what an episode!

This is my favourite trail races to watch on RU-vid. I am from South Africa. Watching the start of this episode and seeing so many Kenyans(Africans) I did a little prayer hoping they won't bring scandals of doping. I am so disappointed. Thankful they were caught and suspended.

Such a good series so far. Especially this episode, considering the clouds hanging over the "winners" on the day. Good balance between the athlete coverage and not shying away from what happened post-race. I watched the Sierre-Zinal race livestream and it was great racing on the day itself. Such a disappointment afterwards though. I hope they manage to get the sport cleaned up - the fact they were caught is a positive and hopefully evidence of the testing being effective with robust punishment for offenders. Looking forward to the new season of races...onwards and upwards!

Kenyan coach, who is indirectley tallking about his training program/style offcourse, and says "As you can see from what she has done, it's a clear indication...she will be among the best". I would argue it the definition of a training approach of throw-things-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks, and with a pinch more of things like compassion and knowledge, not only would more people suceed but also more would get the chance to try.

Another fantastic episode 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. The Nienke "thing" it's mindblowing: 2h 22' in her second road marathon and course record in her first mountain marathon (Zegama). Her athletic past in hockey explains part of this, but, IMHO, they key is that she's naturally gifted with this talent. Regarding the Africans, who dominate in the track, the cross country, the road and the WMRA cup, I hope they will finally transfer their skills to the trails. Can't wait to see that 😃.

As great as this series is, doping spreading in this sport saddens me deeply. Ultratrailrunning appeard to be mostly spared from this plague until recently.

Oh my God, what did we do to nature! 😭😭😭 Imagine that, daily running and hanging with all of nature not just trees, rocks and dirt! i.e. training & taking with a zebra or springbok!❤❤❤ If you don’t believe in God and in the Garden of Eden, the renewed heaven and earth think again!🙏🔥🙌🏾

Das Format und die Videos sind genial. Sehr beschämend ist jedoch, dass dem Kenya skyrunning Team so viel Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt wird. Einem Team, dass von einem unseriösen Manager geführt wird und mit gedopten Sportlern antritt. Solche Menschen/ Teams machen den Sport kaputt, ihnen sollte keine Plattform gegeben werden.

I feel like the Kenyans don't get paid enough. If the other athletes can afford to quit their jobs in European countries, then the Kenyans should be able to afford the same.
