i feel horrible that she already feels this negative about the industry when she hasn’t even broken into it, i hope she ends up finding her niche and gets back into it because she has what it truly takes.

She is rllyyy stunning but ppl don’t realize modeling mostly looks for unique looking people not solely just “attractive” people. I got scouted once and said I had a unique look. So this is motivation for people who want to model, you might have something unique someone who wants, apply!!

I'm signed with a modelling agency and I agree that modelling is about sacrifice. They choose your hair colour, they choose your style whether you like it or not. Most of the time I do my modelling job, I barely eat. I can get randomly a modelling job appointment in a different town and like I have to attend it right away (they don't care what I do and where I am), I'm a full time master student and I also have corporate jobs. Modelling is not my primary income, it is just actually for fun. Good that I could earn a bit money from it but it's not enough to make a living. I'm thinking of quitting my agency or just being a freelance. I feel like they control my life and sometimes they are egoist, being pushy without thinking from my pov.I don't regret anything, it was worth for a life lesson

HUH???? they make you pay for the hair dye appointments THEY'RE forcing you to do??? this would be a huge red flag in literally any other industry lol the audacity

Hey girl! I've been modelling for a living for 9 years now but it's not a career I chose, I just got really lucky. Just so you know, you can TOTALLY model without an agency! Plenty of companies and brands find potential models from Instagram nowadays. Being in a modelling agency basically means that you will go to LOT'S of auditions. Sometimes agencies can have "ties" with certain brands or magazines and can get you jobs but most of the time their job is just to answer phone calls and take 50% of your money :) Being in an agency definitely puts a ton of pressure on you and limits certain things you can do with you life so please think about it before you sign any serious contracts!

i read your post on instagram as a preface to this video: this is incredibly well edited, sincere, and authetic. its contents your trial and tribulations, the silly shenanigans you shared with tia, the shoots, the robbery of autonomy over your appearance-slowly, significantly. it's closed with your concluding thoughts, while bittersweet, charming like the ending of a coming of age movie but inviting to the possibility of something more. i don't believe that this is where your journey ends: may your efforts bear fruit! still, the future is undeniably ... not guaranteed. if there's one certainty it's that for me, at least, your documentary perfectly encapsulates you & your venture. good job! this was an inspiring watch :)

The thing i really got when modelling is that you are their product. I did it for abit and after just chose to go freelance. My mental health and vibe with my body got way better afterwards. No regrets just life lessons. It also brought me alot of good stuff. Goodluck on your journey, you can do it!

Most modeling agencies are looking for a specific look, so if you get rejected it doesn’t mean you’re not attractive enough. Apply to a modeling agency that is specific for you

I have a friend who models as well and what you described matches her experience too. She has almost no control over hair color etc., has to limit how much and what she gets to eat, and has to travel for shoots at all hours of the day. Also modeling makes money but definitely not as much as people claim it to be. Besides the drawbacks this is a career she chose for herself and she is doing better more recently, I hope your situation improves soon too ❤ I also suggest looking into working freelance as I’ve heard that agencies are super restrictive whereas freelance can let you have more control over your appearance!

Ok those first shoot photos came out amazing. I love how you look, like honestly you have a wonderful modeling face. Quite unique. Also that is a very black brown. I'd be upset to. I think that's alright. Starting out in an industry like this, as I've seen from the comments, is difficult. They kinda own your image. I think at some point you could totally model independently. IDK how it works though. Those second photos look good too! Wow. Ugh that's so frustrating. I'm glad Mike is nice. Seriously, the biggest of virtual hugs. I'm sure everything will be more smooth in the future, this just all seems so frustrating because it is quite a dream with such a harsh reality. Fighting!

Eating food that dissolves in water causes less bloating than eating food that dissolves in lipids. :) think trail mix, fruits, honey, seeds, beans and legumes. Some people do get bloated from eating beans and legumes. I hope you find what works for you.

Modeling, acting, and to a degree anything with marketing your image, there’s a point where to other things have to be bargained and it’s not nice and in fact very messed up how broken the world is to normalize such and such. It’s the reason why most people get out because the people that stay in that world are very bad people.
