Today's video features a Train that occurs every holiday season, the Polar Express (Pere Marquette 1225) and PNLX 57 at the Rear as it travels from Owosso to Ashley, Michigan.
Back Story of the Polar Express:
- Every year, Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Michigan runs a Christmas train called the Polar (or North Pole) Express which features Pere Marquette 1225 (a steam engine). The train runs on weekends (and some fridays) every Late November to Mid-December with 2 departure time routes, 10am and 5pm. The train ride lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes with stopping in Ashley, Michigan for about 2 hours for their Christmas Village thing (about 4 hours and 30 minutes Round-Trip).
