About The North Pole Express:
The North Pole Express is an annual tradition run by the Steam Railroading Institute (SRI) and is a train excursion that goes from Owosso, Michigan to Ashley, Michigan and back. The train is pulled by Pere Marquette 1225 which it's facts are right down below. The North Pole Express also started in 2004 and is based on the 2004 Christmas movie The Polar Express.

Pere Marquette 1225 is an N-1 2-8-4 Berkshire steam locomotive built by the Lima Locomotive Works in October 1941 for the Pere Marquette Railway.
