Power: GTW 5847, GTW 5856 OLS!!!
I've only seen this train 3 times in my life, and you know I wouldn't mind seeing it more. 8:03, wake up. 8:25, get a text about the oil local and the power. 8:35, I fly out the door and get right on I-88 to 355 South. 9:05, I park the car. 9:07, I get the equipment set up. 9:10 the oil local comes through. 9:12, the chase is on.

After the oil local passed, I thought it was going slow enough, why not try to chase it? So chase it I did. I got nervous, as it took 3 minutes to get two blocks in down town, but I made up the time, with speed.
Due to track issues on M1 of the CN Joliet sub, 5439 had to take it easy at Romeoville Road. This was a great chance to catch up with the train, and fly further down New Avenue.

After getting it at 135'th Street (Romeoville Road) I was stuck behind the slowest dumb fuck in the world. 35 in a 50. As you can hear I got mad, but was still able to get footage of the GTW's.
I don't know how the train operates, so I flew to downtown Lemont to try to get it in good light. I got something else in good light, how ever.
After getting another suprise on the line, I drove down to the Seneca refinery, and right as I pulled up, they took off.

Again, I flew to Lemont. Waiting 15 minutes I wanted to see what was going on. Right when I sit in the car, I hear the GTW's P5. I fly out, looking retarded, and set everything back up, and get a crappy shot of the train.

And thats how a majority of the morning went. After hearing all sorts of talk on the scanner about the EJ&E, I went up to Crest Hill and then drove to Joliet yard, where I saw M343. CN Dash 9 and IC SD70. Then I met up with Nictrain35 (Nick Hart) and caught a "Yard Job" headed by EJ&E 703. He stayed to see M343 pick up the cars that 703 had dropped, but I had to leave. In all, it was a fantastic morning.
