In this video we get out into the Hauraki Gulf and chase the world famous work ups that this area is known for. Initially we found some Dolphins which lead us to some snapper underneath them. Then before we knew it, the Gannets started bombing and the fishing was on! Becky hooked an absolute screamer and I found a new meaning for the phrase 'catch and release'.

Dude's, I've seen this a little late. I gave my Penn rods and reels away just a couple of months ago. I could have seen them go on. There's a pity right there. Ethical fishing, lovely to see and watch. How many times have you been seen by fishery officers?

Thanks for the comment- yeah it’s pretty sad seeing the snapper get hammered. We basically don’t target them anymore and mostly go for kingfish. As for fishery officers- almost never and they NEVER check boat from marinas and I have seen some tiny snapper go on some huge boats!

@unableseamen3046 I wondered, we're not well resourced. I have never seen one. I would welcome them onto my very small piece of paradise, anytime, as you would.
