Yoo mate!. welcome back chaps!, and yes it's actually a bad idea. my uncle don't even like it when there's a black rust in his car! nice to see you again by the way :)
burn it with a mapp gas torch, or a campinggaz torch. The reason I suggest that is, its an easy way to get powder coating off metal. When i first tried burning the powder coating, i literally vaporised it, but after a while i realised that if I glided the torch evenly over the whole surface for 10, 20 seconds, the powder coating started to peel off in large sections, which was pretty cool. Your dinitrol or whatever may behave the same.
Adam. Black waxoyl is the worst thing in the world for your chassis. I have been using lanoguard for years as it doesn’t trap the moisture and it kills any old rust as well
That's my thoughts to. Do you think the lanoguard is any better? Or does it start to peel in later life? We have a few Discos and I always find the ones that have just been painted with chassis black paint seem to be doing the best.
@@flatcapadventurers the lanoguard is much better and doesn't peel like the black waxoyl but what i have been tending to do is clean off the chassis, apply a coat of red oxide, leave it to dry then chassis black then the lanoguard on the inside and outside of the chassis...as the lanoguard creeps into all the nooks and crannies where you can't get the paint.
