It's the matter of time... I haven't been able to visit my home for 3 years(due to covid zero) but it just feels normal to me now and I even feel homesick about California haha Talk to friends when u need help, and try something new by yourself! And most importantly, be safe! Btw, your voice sounds amazing!

I went to UCSB in 2003. Before going to UCSB I went to Ventura College for 2 years. Ventura College was much less stress because it's a semester system and that gives you more time to study and if you don't do so great on a test or quiz it's not going completely ruin your GPA. UCSB is stressful because you don't have room to mess up. You are always having to study and you can't miss class because your test may include questions you only can get in class. That's why you feel stressed. The only other UC you could attend that's on a semester system is UC Berkeley. If I had to do things over again I wouldn't have went to UCSB because of the quarter system. Also, if you're going into college loan debt to attend UCSB it's probably not worth it for a communications major. Sorry to say that but you need to hear it from someone that has read a lot about this stuff. A communications major could get you a job at a news outlet but those aren't that great paying and you may not need it anyways to get that job. Most mainstream news outlets these days just make you read talking points and if you deviate from them you'll get fired. Do you really want that to be your life? I'm sure you can do better than that if you freelance or find another way to get where you want to be. Please don't end up in student loan debt that can't be discharged in bankruptcy over a communications degree while having to pay it back working a low wage job with people who don't have any college degree. It's really depressing when you have to pay money back while on low wage and you get to see other people you work with enjoying that money on weekends while you can't afford it. We're about to head into a real nasty recession or depression and any debt you can get out of you need to get out of now. Sorry for the rant but you need to hear it from someone. You won't be able to say no one ever told you so when things get bad in America. I'm trying to help you because I've seen a lot of crap and been through a lot of crap. I graduated college years before the 2008 financial crash.

Thank you so much for all of your insight, and that's cool that you went to UCSB in 2003! I will definitely consider all of the advice you gave me, and I hope you still enjoy the content on my channel :)

@@lizfujiwara Listen there's something else I would like to tell you that'll help you out a lot the rest of your life if you're unaware. Something I wish I had known about at your age. Look up Dr. Ramani's RU-vid channel on narcissism. Learn about it and learn to protect yourself. You'll need it because there's a lot of them around here in southern California. Also, learn about adrenal fatigue because with the type of stress being put on you it'll eventually catch up to you. Youth helps you resist it, but that goes away eventually. If you learn to heal yourself from adrenal fatigue by your diet and doing things such as massage, yoga breathing and tai chi it'll keep you younger looking and healthier a lot longer. Hope this information helps you forever.

@@rwdchannel2901 Okay, I will check out his channel! I understand about stress/fatigue too, won’t deny I have had some over first quarter 😬 I’ve also had an interest in yoga so maybe I can start next quarter at the rec cen. Thanks for all of your helpful tips :)
