You should do a video (if you haven't already) driving the golf cart all around the Chateaux grounds, starting at the front gate literally all over, nothing left out, back areas, forest, even untended bits. It's so beautiful!! I'm sure I'm not the only one that would enjoy this. 😊
Michael did a walking tour some time ago, it was amazing and so varied. Waterfalls, lake, wood etc. So maybe time to do it again on wheels where possible.

Aww. Bertie loves you so much! Tell Mum the garden border looks great! Stick to the no sugar thing, after 2 weeks your taste buds change and so does the good gut bacteria that doesn't crave sugar. I personally recommend just going Whole Food Plant Based, you can eat so much and never count calories! I never gain weight but have lots of energy. If you cut out all dairy, yes that means cheese, you'd see a big drop in your weight. And another tip, I learned to cook without oil, just water saute things and don't add oil to food, that's another huge calorie saver. Eat all the whole grains you want, NO MEAT products. Hope you don't mind my tips, just personal experience. I also wanted to compliment you on the part of the video when you were driving in the woods, the music, the soft hum of the motor, the dog running along...it was like from a movie and it felt so peaceful. Your woods are stunningly beautiful and I'd love to be there to paint them!

I found that dieting does not work long term. It has to be a life change. I had the best success just by limiting my portions and being really aware of what I’m eating. It’s so nice that you have each other…keep up the good work 🙂❤️
You can use the black currants to make your own Ribeana drink! We used to make it it’s so easy, we started with 4 black currant bushes, took cuttings which are really easy and ended up with 10 bushes and picked over 40lbs of fruit each year. You top and tail 4 lbs of fruit to 3 pints of water and 2lbs of sugar ( or more or less to your taste).bring the fruit, sugar and water to boil for about 20 mins until the fruit breaks down. Take off the boil, add a sachet of citric acid and stir till dissolved. Strain the juice through a sieve to get rid of the skins etc and bottle up into sterilised bottles, store in a cool place, or my Mum used to pour into into litre ice cream tubs and freeze it until needed. Dilute to taste, it tastes just as good as Ribena and no additives etc and much cheaper. You can also do it with 3 large oranges just liquidise them up before bringing to the boil, same with lemons, limes, grapefruit. You could try the red currants , strawberries, raspberries, rhubarb any fruit will work. X

"Mum" your gardens are so beautiful. Good luck ladies with your diet. Keto is a good diet to follow. Got to get rid of those sugary drinks and those heavy carbs on a daily basis. Protein, protein, protein. Remember you can have a cheat day now and then. Once you start burning those calories, you will feel so much better. If exercise is difficult Mom, turn on some dance music. Burns lots of calories and is a lot of fun! Have fun in Paris Sadie. ❤

Good luck with the diet and exercises to both of you. It is so hard to change your eating habits or lifestyle but it is so worth it for health reasons. I reduced carbs this year too and I see some positive changes. I am mostly less bloated. I hope I can keep it up. Bertie will miss you!

Oh the diet...I've been cutting out bread, cakes and cookies....ugh! I know what you're going through....when one is on a diet it makes you think about food even more! I never thought much about it before, I just ate whatever, but found out that was my problem...I wasn't thinking about it, now I am...it's a vicious circle! Bertie is no dummy…he knows Sadie is getting out of Dodge for a while and he wants to come too! He melts my heart! I always enjoy a good ride in the woods with you ladies! I wish you both success with the diet! Lord knows it ain’t easy making such changes. I also did a modified version of Keto and it was tough for a couple of month, but once I got over the hump things really hanged. I felt so good that I just kept going and lost 40+ pounds and it has been 3 years. After a while you get creative with finding new things to try and making up your own recipes! Hang in there and be gentle with yourselves, that’s the key! 🌸🥰👍
I went low carb/keto last August and have lost 45 lbs. it gets a lot easier with time, and you will also see increased energy as you reduce the carbs. Good luck ladies! You can do this.
