The moderaires with Paula Kelly! ( suppose to be them 70 years ago.) Great Glenn Miller sounds. Tragic loss. Never recovered his body . The nation was in shock. I remember my mama cried when she heard it on the radio.I was about 7-8 years old. Radio played all time in our house. No TV, cell phones, IPads, ....just good musings you could understand words, sing and dance to and all performers dressed to the 9's. Good ole days!! 🎶🎷🎺🎶

Very elegant the dress of this lady. I used to dance most of these tunes. All joy !

This is, by far, the best GM “ghost” band I have come across. I remember one ghost band (don’t recall which one) was described by one reviewer as having given up the ghost.

Surely it must be the new “Artie Shaw Orchestra”, they sound terrible.

I was not expecting such a good imitation of Tex Beneke and the Modernaires. VERY good.

Many years ago, Roy Rogers had celebrated his birthday, and his lovely wife, Dale Evans, gave him a beautiful pair of cowboy boots. The next day Roy went riding out on the range with those beautiful boots on his feet. On the trail, he came across a mountain lion and got into a real tussle with it. Roy came away with only a few scrapes, but the big cat did a bit of a number on his boots. Roy rode home and had to tell Dale of his run-in with the mountain lion and the resulting torn up shoes. Being the loving and considerate wife, she of course put him at ease, telling him that the most important thing is he came home not too badly hurt. A few days later, the two of them went riding together. Off in the distance, Dale spotted a big cat, motioned to Roy and asked, "Pardon me, Roy... Is that the cat who chewed your new shoes?"

Eine 1 Plus in Orchestrierung und Performance. So muss Chattanooga Choo Choo klingen.

@@timeandnourishment1961 My favorite song by the duo is There will never be another you. Harry Warren was a melody genius, I place him alongside Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and Richard Rodgers.

@@melissamell1785 That’s another wonderful composition - Chet Baker did a fantastic version of this. One of my other favourites is My Heart Tells Me. The Glenn Miller Army Band played a great arrangement of this with a beautiful vocal by Johnny Desmond, though the propagandised German lyrics are a little strange...for me, the nicest rendition (in English!) is by Tony Bennett RIP.

Lead vocalist does not do this song justice. No energy on his part, but his co-singers are trying hard. No comparison to Tex Beneke. Sorry - try to keep it in tune folks!
