Ya know i am a chef, i had an amazing company prior to leaving california to move out here to Missouri, my menu is quite extensive, i don't purchase cook books by others just because of my own inventory and ideas of my own, but i can tell you, after watching your channel, and the realness of your family and you responding so kindly to as many of us as you can as people don't understand just how alone some of us are particularly after my husband passed away, but even more so, listening to you tell your stories as you prep and cook dishes to share with us, i just adore you and your family and i can assure you i will be 1 person that can't wait to purchase your cook book. I am so sorry to hear of your sudden loss. My heart breaks for all of you. So very sad. Roanoke is about an hour and 45 minutes Northeast of where I live. I am in Virginia...but Boone N.C. is probably a bit closer...about an hour and a half southwest of me. Not that far to either event. Might be able to come to one. I may be in Blairsville Ga. sometime this month. Plans are still a bit up in the air...but I can use some time on Notley Lake. Such a beautiful place. I have been to the folk school a couple of times. Very interesting place. Hope ya'll have a great Easter and God bless!

We use the Neti Pot. It comes with Sinus was saline packets. We put a packet in the pot, then add distilled water, and use it. It helps with so many things. I’ve been praying for you all during this very difficult time. God is our comforter. ♥️🙏🏻

So sorry to hear about Krissy & Annie. Have been nasal washing for quite a few year now. I got the plastic Nasopure squeeze bottle. I use tap water filtered through a General Ecology purifier. Any Amoeba will be removed. I mix ½ teaspoon salt into 8 oz water, along with a pinch of baking soda to keep it from burning. I get several washes out of 8 oz. So good for you, and so easy to do.

We lived near Waynesville for a couple of years. Mast General was new to me and what a great store! Definitely became my favorite place to take visitors. Old school toys, candy in barrels, fresh popcorn. Excellent sales on clothes. Warms my heart to hear about it. Love your channel.

I am filled with sorrow for the loss of Krissy and Annie; I am praying for your entire family. I know just how you all feel because on January 13, 2023, our extended family in Lexington, KY lost 19-year old Kennedy Knowles; my "honorary son". "Black ice" traffic accident. I mention this because: in the first days and weeks, aside from Faith and Family, I found such comfort in watching your family's videos! For short times, I was able escape the hurt. Those "cocoa chats" where especially helpful. Love, and Bless you for all you do.

I was crippled in a dog attack, and your videos have helped make my two years in a wheelchair, so much better. This is my first time commenting, and I'm from Oregon. I lost my oldest daughter when she was forty, so my heart goes out to your family. It seems like yesterday even though it was six years ago. 🙏♥️🙏♥️ Prayer truly changes everything. Mast General Store is one of my favorite places. I spent middle and high school in East TN and we’d go over the mountain on weekends to Boone or Blowing Rock and would stop at Mast on the way in.

We have been to the original Mast General Store in Banner Elk. Went several years ago while visiting my sister and family in Boone. They own a vacation home up on a mountain near Boone. We visited the store and I absolutely love it!!! We still have a few old original country stores in WV but not many. We loved Mast General because of the nostalgia and old time candy and gum they had among other things!! Found things there I hadn't seen since I was a kid(I'm 74). Could have stayed there all day. And the real treat was on the back porch local musicians were playing bluegrass music!! Fantastic place to be!! I want to get one of your cookbooks too. Sadly, I won't make it to your book signing since we live near Winston Salem, unless you do one at the store here. I didn't know there was one here until I looked for the stores you mentioned. I am going to have to check it out!!! But I will always like the original best!! Enjoy your visits!!

I loved hearing you talk about Mast General. I have often been to the one in Boone and in Valle Crucis. My father grew up in Minneapolis, NC and his dad had a general store. He enjoyed the one especially in Valle Crucis since the old building there reminded of his childhood and his dad's store. Thank you.

Hi Tipper - I am fairly new to your channel. I stumbled across it a couple of days ago and have been binge-watching your videos ever since. I want to tell you just how much I love watching and listening to you and your family. In this age of Kardashians, wealthy privilege, and dishonest people, it is such a joy to see and hear about genuine, hard-working and compassionate folks. It seems that RU-vid sometimes presents me with channels that I need to watch and I feel so lucky to have found you. I enjoy your cooking, your creativity, your tremendous green thumb and your down to earth kindness. Now I've seen that your 2 adorable girls have a channel too, so I've been watching them and am amazed at their creativity, musical talent and genuineness. I am so impressed by your courage to come on here and share yourself with the world. You are needed! I am excited to get your cookbook. I grew up in New England in the 60s (moved to NJ in the 70s) but actually some of your recipes are quite akin to things we ate in New England. My father was a Baptist minister so I grew up going to potluck dinners and the like, and I see the similarities in some of your dishes. So interesting that different regions of the country have food and traditions that seem to overlap! Well I really wanted to just say thank you, I adore you and your family (do I see your husband doing the dishes after dinner? What a nice partnership!). I also have a love of nature and enjoy all of the outdoor knowledge I am picking up about mountain life. It looks so lovely; I thought the dusting of snow on your daughter Cori's wedding day was just magical looking (as was she). Lastly, I am a person of prayer and will pray for Krissy and Annie (hope I have their names right). This is a tragedy beyond comprehension. I feel that, as hard as it will be for you and your family, you will be of comfort to those that need it the most - through your music, your spirituality and your compassionate souls. God bless you. We've been to the original Mast General Store and the one in Boone, NC. They are really interesting; I encourage anyone to visit one if you're in the vicinity. It's like stepping back in history. There's something there for just about everyone!

My husband and I would've loved to come to Boone in June to meet you. We watch your videos along with the girls all the time. My niece lives in Boone and we haven't seen her in a while. My 95 year old Mom lives with us in Toledo Ohio and she can't make that long of a trip. I will watch for your cookbook to go on sale tho.
