I find that using bullet points to describe my day works well when I don't feel like writing as much in a slump, and if I want to journal but I can't get myself to start writing I use nostalgic ephemera or photos from the past to write about maybe from a time before I started journalling ❤❤❤
I don’t normally comment but when you said you want to journal but don’t feel like when once you sit down to do it and that it is easier to watch people journal on RU-vid than it is to journal, I felt that deeply. I have recently been feeling the same way, I hope the spark comes back soon. Sending you positive thoughts for the upcoming move and that you have an amazing vacation in Seattle!
Thank you so much! I hope you find your spark soon (or have found it already). I wonder if it there's something in my journaling system that isn't quite working and that I am drawn to watching other people journal because I am ultimately searching for a solution, for something to "click".
I feel this too 😹 but mine has gotten real bad because when I watch journal vids i get that sudden rush of wanting to buy more journals that i will not even fill out. Last year i bought an expensive journal and only had like 3months filled out and the rest was empty. 😅 and now it’s starting again i just checked out bunch of notebooks and stationery and i dont feel like doing any journaling 😅
Yay! Glad it got there safely :) Love the idea of a cooking journal! That inspires me to try keeping one again, I tried to do it but then fell off of it. I bought a Moleskine Recipe book during their sales, I need to break it out!
I think food holds so much memory. To keep a cooking journal seems like such a good fit! Thank you so much again for the giveaway! Everything so so pretty!
Everything you said about journaling, I feel so much. I’ve never bought a hobonichi besides the weeks because I know I can’t keep up with the daily pages. I love the format and covers though so I’m thinking about getting an undated one just to use for scrapbook journaling for interesting days or personal thoughts, etc. Love the idea of the pocket notebook to take the stress off. I’ve been trying to replace my notes app with one of those myself.
So glad to hear that this video is resonating with you! I love smaller notebooks exactly for that reason - they just feel less daunting. I personally am a lot more playful in them.
I have pins on my Delfonics. I swapped the backing out with the rubber ones and I haven't had a problem. Just got back from a trip with it! Congrats on winning!
I have the kaweco brass (it's very pretty) and keep it for occasional sketching in my tote. It's quite heavy and I can't imagine wrting a lot with it. For writing, I would recommend the Travelers brass fountain pen.
Thank you for sharing! Yeah I wish I could try it out somewhere to get a better feel for it. Cause even if I seem to prefer a bit of weight to my pens, I can see how there is such a thing as too much weight, LOL.
Love your new pink Delphonics pouch! I have cute pins on mine, but two of them actually broke off when I took the pouch with me, so you are right aboutbeing careful with what you put on your pouch. Those coffee stickers are really nice too!! As for hobby journals: I keep a journal in a regular TN with my miniature (doolshouse) project. Currently working on a Christmas Carol/Dickens street, so in my journal I collect referende pictures, pictures of the progress, some research notes and measurements. Useful and fun to later lookback on a completed project. Keep sharing your journaling and everything around it, you are really inspiring ❤... Good luck with finding a lovely new home!
Ooooh my goodness I LOVE dollhouses and dioramas!!! Both your miniature projects and the journal sound absolutely wonderful! And thank you for such a sweet and encouraging comment!
I hope you find a way to keep the washi tape attached to your cookbook I think the pattern is very fitting. I really enjoyed your video. 👍 I totally relate to not feeling like journaling or drawing and just writing with pencil or using a small notebook. If your Minnie is metal(magnetic) you could try popping off the pin part and using a tiny, strong neodymium disc magnet back. I’m rather cautious when traveling with enamel or magnetic pins attached to my pouch, so I remove mine. I hope the move ends up a move for the better, and maybe a blessing in disguise.
