I was only becoming aware of AI generative art in our community around the time it became a hot topic. After doing some serious reading on the topic, I don't believe there is a categorical For or Against it. The pending litigation will shape a lot in the AI landscape, when it comes to pass. Then, we'll know. As a sticker shop owner, I agree that I will disclose when I have knowingly used AI generative art. For now. I don't know if that is right or wrong, but I am willing to be transparent to that effect.

I am a nascent creator and artist and just stumble around creator, but also a bit of a computer geek... and a writer too ;) IOW... I have my fingers in a lot of worlds. Personally, and I can only speak for myself, I am thrilled with AI, with AI art, and AI writing. It is empowering, all across the spectrum of my life. From information gathering, inspiration, sifting through facts, etc, etc, etc. I have no issues mostly because as the Bible itself says, "Ecclesiastes 1:9 “What has been will be again, and what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun”. This verse is the origin of the common proverb, “There's nothing new under the sun”. IOW: Nothing is new under the sun. We are all inspired, ignited, sparked, etc, by all that we see, hear, live, dream, fear, etc. And those things are fueled by those who have come before us. The creators that say AI is stealing from me, are trying to do the exact same "gatekeeping" as has occurred in guilds and unions throughout the last millennia of history, if not more. As in, "I went to school and learned (from those that came before me...) but you cannot use that knowledge unless you get the same education, blessed by the same "experts" and "gatekeepers" and pay up. Yeah, I get it. But, AI is the dawn of genuine and true freedom of information and freedom of knowledge. It is being loosed onto the "unwashed masses" in wide dumps... and the gatekeepers just can't stand it. They are spoiled, selfish, children.
