Calling all Hamiltonians and fans of CHCH news.
CHCH is currently under review by owner Canwest global and may be sold or closed completely leaving Hamilton, Halton and Niagara without a news station. Please show your support for the station.

CHCH is SOLD! Canwest announced June 30th that the station is sold to a small company in Toronto, Channel Zero. They proposed all local news programs from 5am till 8pm, and blockbuster movies in the evening.

Why doesn't Canwest just sell CH Montreal to Rogers or something. It already has a lineup more similar to the OMNI networks that the E! program lineup seems odd compared to the programming surrounding it.

I just hope that won't be the case, because CHEK has been around longer and it has more of a history.

They will be now that Canwest is selling the stations and deep-sixing the E! system, which I'm glad for because I hated E! and their crappy celebrity gossipfest shows. I've heard that the Jim Pattison Group may most likely buy CHEK, which I hope they do.
