Because we have the same exact bike, (bought mine brand new), and because you seem to show exactly what I was looking for. LOOKS, SOUND, QUALITY... you helped me make up my mind. Why would I spend 700-800 dollars for CFR's or V&H or Rinehart..when I can spend less than three bills and essentially achieve the same result? Thanks for posting this bro. Now to get my pipes ordered. LOL
Love my Sharkroad on my 21 SG,your right who in the world wants to spend 800 to 1000 bucks on a set of gas packs?!?? Had them for a year now and no issues!
Bought a set of the 4" Shark Roads for my 08 Ultra after seeing this video. They sound about the same as yours, much more deep sounding than the screamin eagles that were on it, I'm getting a bit of popping on deceleration but not bad, could get the ecm chipped and take that away but I will pull the plugs in a couple hundred miles and see if it is running too lean before I do that.
I ride 12 Road King with V&H true dual headers pipes I put on with V&H twin slash rounds that were on the bike when I bought it 3 yrs ago. Been thinking of swapping out the mufflers for something of my own choosing and was looking at CFR's because I like the sound. But damn, it's hard to justify the cost if I can find something cheaper that sounds about the same. These sound good with the stock header pipe, betting they would sound awesome with the true duals. thx
I had thunder headers but they got real annoying since I’ve been doing a lot more back road riding. I’m looking for a slightly louder/deeper than stock but not annoying like the thunder header. Sounds like it’s slightly deeper/louder but not ridiculous. Would you says it’s a huge difference? Can’t really tell since you did stock from the side and aftermarket from the back coming straight at the camera
It’s somewhat disingenuous and unfair to shark road, to say “cheap Amazon” etc. it makes them sound like a shit Chinese trash brand, meanwhile they’re based out of California. Most if not all motorcycle slip ons are nothing but glasspack mufflers. Think cherrybomb. Now a cherrybomb is worth $50 on Amazon, so tell me how, somehow justify for me, the Harley tax that makes a tab, s&s, cobra, rineheart etc glasspack worth $700-1k? I don’t see shark road as “cheap”, I see them as the only REASONABLY priced vendor. I’ve done my research, watched alot of install/review/sound clip vids. I almost avoided them because when I saw the price myself I thought it was Chinese. When I found out they were American, I made the decision that I will be getting Shark Road slip ons for my ultra this season.
How do you get yours to sound like a twin cam ? I have fake duals on my road glide stock and just changed the slip ones but it just sounds deeper you can’t hear the potato sound really any advice ?
