Hey Andrew I've got a question for you! What is the downside to running a line converter on a receiver that doesn't have pre outs? Is this possible to do and still have a great sound with an amplifier? Thanks Andrew and Kristi 😁
@Nicholas Jarrett I have never done anything remotely like that so I cannot comment. TBH, I'm not even 100% sure what you are asking when say "line converter".
@@andrewrobinsonreviews so a line converter is you use the speaker connection from your receiver that converts to into an rca Jax out conversion. Which in turn you plug the rca Jax into the amplifier. Which in turn the speakers run off the amplifier. It's a trick my dad told me years ago but I'm no longer in contact with him. He was the only real audio/video guy that got me into my Obsession with being an Audioholic myself 😆..
@@andrewrobinsonreviews it probably is I might just wait until I can afford an x series denon receiver to get pre-outs. One step at a time.. gotta upgrade my towers first and surrounds thanks for being honest 👍🏼
Got this with a pair of B2+ bookshelves, XS8 subwoofer, and an ERC-4 REFERENCE CD PLAYER. Later bought the A2 and connected it via the TA1 pre outs. Using these amps plus sub with a pair of SVS Prime Pinnacles at 160 watts per channel into 8 ohms. Very nice setup!
I just purchased this unit and I am very happy with it. It does everything that I need it to do and it does it well. Setup was easy and the unit was delivered in 3 days to my door. Manual is easy to use and made so you do not need a magnifying glass to read it (big bonus to those of us who have worn glasses for 43 years). The display is a very bright blue and could be an issue as stated in the review. It does not bother me due to it being in my den near my computer that is lit up with rgb unicorn puke lighting. This is an exceptional value and sounds top notch. Great review it helped me to make up my mind.
Andrew and Kristi are starting to become one of my favorite youtube channels. My tastes and preferences vary drastically from theirs. I'm much less interested with style/design and have a much higher sensitivity to treble forwardness or being sibilant. Neither of that really matters because I enjoy their contents as well as their opinions.
I agree with Kristi regarding the looks. You need to be forward thinking, take Technics for example. Their new integrated amps, such as GU700, add a more modern touch to their classic design.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews PC HDD for now. I need to reset my NAS at some point before I re-copy everything over to it. When the NAS is working, the chain is an Allo USBridge Signature running Volumio (with iFi wall-wart) into the Platin Hub/Buchardt A500 combo.
I have a few hundred to re-rip. The originals were done pre NAS, and I did 320Kbps. Next time, I think I’ll use Apple lossless. What Settings are you using?
Outlaw Audio RR2160MKII owner here. New to home audio. This unit is powerful and flexible, sounds great too! I’ve always wondered why you have not reviewed this unit.
I was recently in the market for an integrated amp at the 4-5 hundred dollar price point. For me it came down to the IOTA VX and the SoundArtist SA-200ia. In the end I went with the SoundArtist. To my ears it's a beautiful sounding amplifier. I recommend reviewing it. There arent many reviews out there and it comes in at $409 on Amazon.
Purchased this amp with the Emotiva B2+ bookshelves, ERC-4 Differential Reference CD Player and an XS8 Subwoofer for a killer bedroom system. Emotiva TA1 just looks thin and sexy!
I know you may not get this because it's been a year since the comment, but I currently have the T2+ towers, and was wondering how they pair with the TA1. I'm considering either the TA1 or the PT1 with and A2. I figured they would optimize their speakers to play nice with their amps, but you never know. TIA
You’ll love Rega Brio for sure.. both of you……since you like that British sound and Andrew will be into elicit-r for sure since he likes the m5si!! Over here in Europe i can’t find the Emotiva products for demo……would love to…..the pricing is fantastic compared to the overpriced british machines
Just installed my Basx PT-1 with a BasX A2 last night. Same model as the TA-1, minus the inboard amp. Driving a pair of KLH Kendalls. Loving it so far!
@@RockCity1111 for a stereo situation I am quite happy. Would have preferred a multichannel option, but for this price point and with all of the microchip shortages today, I think you'd have a hard time finding something better.
Not quite nailing it. I would buy their CD player if it had gapless playback and I need XLR outputs on a preamp for my amp to preform at it's best. Bring back the XSP-1 preamp and offer a CD player same as the one they sell now except gapless and they would have a customer.
@@phoebus I meant it in a very general way.... thanks to emotiva I have a 150 wpc class AB amp, which no other brand is offering in a similar price point. The next most powerful amp with 150/200 wpc I can think of is Rotel which is probably 4 times the price
@@masterchef6694I do recognize Emotiva makes good products at good prices, that's why I was looking to buy some of them. My biggest disappointment with Emotiva was the ERC-4 CD player. I was all set to place an order and found out that it inserts gaps between the tracks on CDs where they don't belong. To me that is a total deal breaker and I just can't understand why any company would make a CD player that alters the way a CD is supposed to playback. And like I said I would buy the XSP-1 Gen 2 preamp if it was still available, but it isn't so I can't and they didn't replace it with anything comparable before discontinuing it, which I don't get either.
Except for their $3/4k pre/pros. They need to make an entry level multichannel processor for like $1500. If the major brands can make quality receivers for $700 that can do 7.1 and include amps, someone should be able to make a high quality preamp that can do 7 or 9 channels for double that.
I have my older B&W CDM2s connected to my TA1 and I do not hear any hiss or hum at all. I am using them at my desk so I only sit about 3 feet away and I love it. Great integrated amp for me. I am excited to pair it with other speakers as well. Great review, thanks!
I wasn't really expecting to fall in love with an integrated amplifier. Well... I Just Did. And it's within a realistic price point too. Thanks. But I still can't ditch my Nakamichi Shockwafe just yet. It's a New York City small studio apartment thing.
I just bought the TA1 as a replacement for some of my older equipment and am using it in my office with the computer and it sounds wonderful much cleaner sound than the amp it replaces. I have only had it a week but its a wonderful improvement over the old kenwood receiver with plenty of grunt for the small room that is my office. If the rest of the emotiva lineup is this good then I am going to be buying more of their equipment for sure. Since this is what I bought, I would have to say the TA1 is my favorite.
To answer your question, really enjoying my Cambridge Audio AXA35. Its missing some connectivity features but for an office turntable setup it is ideal.
The AXA35 is a great, small room or simple system amp. I would rock one in my office too if I had the room. Thanks for joining us again this morning Dane!
I just ordered a TA1 and A2 to feed my BOSE 901 VI v2 speakers after my 50 year old Marantz receiver died. Sold it to a friend to hopefully rebuild. I think the tonal flavor of the Emotiva will compliment the 901s voicing. Looking forward to 3X the power of my old Marantz receiver. And I really appreciate their military discount.
I have the previous version of this int. amp. (TA 100). For the TA1, they have added bass management, and a bluetooth receiver. It will drive all my speakers with great control over the midrange and bass (as cp to my 75 watt rms Yamaha analog receiver). It will drive them very very loud if needed. The BIG knock on the A 100 is that it must have the worst remote on planet earth (My Parasound new classics dac-preamp has the best ever including back lighting). But the remote is still a remote and allows the source to be changed, turn on and off, and change or mute the volume. The TA1 is an improved version, but the picture of the inside looks like the TA 100. This product is a TRUE audiophile bargain and you can use it for home stereo, hook it your tv, your computer, cd player, quality headphones, etc. If your home is in the 2000 foot range, with normal speakers including small towers, you can fill the entire space with Blasting highly dynamic sound. It also sounds just fine at lower volumes.
I've been using the IOTAVX SA3 integrated, which is in the same price bracket. I auditioned it against the Emotive BasX TA-100 and I like the Iota more. It's more of a taste thing than anything else.
@@RockCity1111 the IOTAVX is more transparent, meaning you will get more detail out of your music. The Emotiva sounded more "muscular", maybe better for rock and metal.
I bought the TA1 and really liked it. I had to upgrade out of curiosity, added the A2 amp and the clarity and dynamics got better. I'm running the Q acoustics 3030i with a Klipsch R-120sw sub. I really like the little system, but I'm now contemplating a better bookshelves or some floor standing speakers.
B-52s Elac unified, have them, for approx 1 month, everything, Steve, Randy, Ron, and others, have said, is true, there Quality factor, and Value is Outstanding! Magic in a box. Detailed, Clarity Sound stage, imaging, neutral and to me looks, is all true and worth more than asking price. By alot. They can handle 140 watts of clean sound! Check reviews, and believe it! I know, I have them, got on sale at Amazon for 489.00. Thank you Lord!! ha 🤘❤️😁
I have the Emotiva XDA-2 USB DAC. Love it. It is a full size stereo component. And matches my old school McIntosh 2-channel system. It’s blue lights are similar to the McIntosh and my Furman Elite power source. The Emotiva serves as a the USB DAC for my dedicated MacBook music server. Speakers are Polk SDA SRS which I bought in 1987. 180 pounds each, 62 inches tall. 15 inch sub base radiator, 8 midrange and 4 tweeters per speaker. Works for me. Great review.
Hi Andrew and Christi. Another great review. For your question of the day, I’m in love with the emotive ta100. I have it paired with the Klipsch heresy 4s and love the combination. As you know, the Hersey’s are forward, but I didn’t find the ta100 to be too bright as I did when Heresy ‘s were paired with a Yamaha. As a matter of fact, I Love it so much, I ordered the new separate pre amp and power amp BasX line. The ta100 replaced a Denon which replaced a Yamaha which replaced a Onkyo.
I think Emotiva's design styling has more to do with manufacturing modularity.. thats why Emotiva is able to give you much more inside vs. the outside... cheaper to build, modular components less complexity
Another great review. I would really like to see a comparison with the outlaw rr2160 mk2. That's an all in one amp with all of the power you could need.
hey guys great stuff, Kristi i agree with you in the aesthetics department. Funny thing is they are touting this whole new basX line as a revamp in design....kinda a head scratcher. Keep up the great work. I love when Kristi just shoots it straight w/ no fluff! #teamkristi :-)
I can imagine for them (especially the top dogs at Emotiva), this probably is a leap forward. Change is hard and it can be difficult to let go of something especially when you are extremely attached to it like I'm sure one would be in this case of developer/owner.
i'm loving my cambridge axr100. i recently paired it with a mytek liberty dac and am now consistently blown away everytime i listen to music. thanks for the reviews!
I won’t consider getting this over the Bluesound because it doesn’t look like it has HDMI ARC. My parents are getting a new TV and the best connectivity option for stereo speakers would be HDMI ARC. The Emotiva simply won’t be able to connect to some modern TVs.
I just resurrected my 21 year old Sony STR-DE435 a/b receiver for the bedroom. Has no defects and sound pretty good as a 2-channel system, can be found used for under $50.
This comment is unrelated to this specific review. Ive watched you enough to know and trust your opinions and know your preferences. If you are reviewing something I really care about, I listen to the entire review. If I could care less about the product (like $500 integrated) I listen for the first minute. Then I scrub to Kristi’s part. It’s not that I value her technical perspective more. Rather, she says things you wouldn’t say, that my wife might care about. So, I really learn and appreciate that. Like today…I’d buy the Cambridge because it looks better and the emotive is dated. I really really appreciate that. I finally finally got my wife to let me place the speakers in the living room where they sound the best. After 36 years! It took open heart surgery (mine) to accomplish that, but now she doesn’t mind! So, thanks for having the very special combo perspective that you provide
At the moment, my main system is being powered by the Musical Fidelity M2si, which I can’t even begin to find anything on the market that competes with it for $1000. Thank you Andrew and Kristi for a well done review! I’m going to have to go with Kristi on the sound signature! My taste is a little more forward, a little more V shaped. I like an exciting system.
@@bornces I’m not familiar with that speaker, so I would be the wrong person to answer. I love Musical Fidelity, so you probably won’t go wrong with any of their amps.
I always look forward to your reviews - thank you both for doing such a great job with these! I laughed out loud on this one, as you mentioned your past affection for the NAD 320BEE... I still have that exact model, but haven't used it in years (along with the NAD C270 2-channel amp). Coincidentally, I'm in the process of looking for an upgrade/replacement for my old Rotel 5.1 receiver, and planning to pull the NAD out of "retirement" for use temporarily, while I shop around. Yes, I've been living in the past for a long time LOL! I'm now looking to modernize and simplify - Hoping 2-channel with the right setup will also work for movie/TV watching without losing the dialog.... Some of your past reviews have me interested in the Naim Unity Atom, and Musical Fidelity M5si. Thought I would start with my old NAD integrated before pulling the trigger on something new. Anyway - I just wanted to share this, since you mentioned the same amp I'm about to start using again! Thought it was a nice coincidence. Thanks again for all your videos - I love the content and the way you do them!
I currently have the Emotiva TA-100 which I like except for the remote. Very soon I will have the Cambridge AXR100 based on your review and award video so I will find out the answer to your question. My speakers are the Tzero+
I just got the PT1 for $339. I found a Lexicon 212 (same internally as Bryston 3B ST, 200x2 @ 4-Ohms. I plan to get some Magnepan LRS+, and I have an SVS SB-2000 sub. I mostly use an Nvidia Shield Pro and have a Marantz Blu-ray, DVD, CD, SACD player.
Thank you Andrew and Kristi. I was waiting for this review as I have been eye balling the PT1. Already have an A-300 in hand. I don't know if it would be considered audiophile and definitely not an integrated amp but my suggestion for a budget do it all would be a Denon DRA-800H.
The more I think about it, the more it seems like we have a bit of an embarrassment of riches as far as choices in this space. Emotiva, NAD, Denon, IotaVX, Cambridge, SVS, etc. all have one or more offerings. Very hard to pick a favorite. The C338 would be the runaway winner for me, save the lack of tone controls (which is *so* annoying on that amp since I think it would simply be a matter of updating the firmware and the app 😭). It might still be my pick, but it’s a much closer race than it would otherwise be.
In regards to the looks factor / new style, it would be interesting to see what a simple thing like offering it in a silver faceplate would look like? It would be a huge aesthetic change, in my opinion, without needing to spend a lot of time and money for R&D in coming out with a new look by changing the physical size / geometry.
I heartily second your opinion of the phono stage in this integrated. It's almost scary good, at any price. Superby detailed and well-balanced, no noise at all on the MM setting (tried it with an Ortofon OM Super 200 and an A-T VM540ML). For only a 50-watt rating, the TA1 makes my power-hungry Polk RTi-A9's really open up. With the ELAC Debut F6.2's, the phono playback is almost holographic, a term I always sneered at until now. As noted, the forwardness is a bit much, and the bass, while great on the deep end, is not even across the spectrum. But it's a steal at $549, compared to any of its competition with similar features. Will I keep it? Maybe, or maybe will swap it out for the PA1 and get a standalone amp.
I just got the TA1 today and have been playing with it. I don't have the experienced ear that you have, but I actually had to slightly boost the treble and bass for my gr research mtm encores. I actually hated it at the stock settings. I was pleasantly surprised how loud it can get, I was worried that it wouldn't have enough power, but I don't think that's an issue. This maybe do to the fact that everything under 90hz is going to a powered sub. I don't hear the hiss and hum that you speak of at all. I kinda like the way it looks, sorry Kristi. I do think that the DAC is lacking, but I wasn't expecting magic there, but it's good enough for now. I'm kind of curious how good the amp can sound with a schiit modius or a Bifrost hooked to it.
Ahhh the C320BEE, also my first foray into the world of Hifi... I loved that amplifier. Unfussy, great sound, admittedly a little on the bland side of things looks-wise (as nearly all NAD pieces are) but back in the day, you couldn't get better for the money 👌🏻 Edit: Your channel is great @andrew, helped me in my decision to pick up a CXA81 for those warm vintage vibes. I'm absolutely loving it.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews may I go off-topic here and ask your opinion of the B&W 685 S2s? I know you're a fan of B&W and searched your channel for a review but came up with nothing. My CXA is currently driving a pair of them and I'm astounded at how well they play together. Feel free to remove this comment if I'm muddying the waters here :)
Andrew, may I recommend that you review the newer Rotel Integrated Amps. The Rotel 1592MK2 and Michi X3. Both with similar power ratings but each with a different sound performance goal. I'm sure it would make for a very interesting analysis and result. I really appreciate what your channel brings to a want a be audiophile, like me. Thanks.
Thanks for the review. Recently I'm putting together a 3.1 system, the value to performance ratio just can't be beaten with Emotiva, but I do agree with Kristi about the aesthetics of their products.
Airplay 2 is a necessary feature for me as I’m so entrenched in the Apple ecosystem. It was nice to see the Powernode comparison as that is on my short list. Fall will be a fun shopping season with lots of options to look at.
Agree with Kristi, the look is beyond dated. I think its embarrassing considering how many years have gone by and all we can say its that Emotiva is making a 'choice' to make these amps look like old VCR players. It is hurting them more than its helping.
I miss dancing lights and excitement. I was looking at some products from the late 80s early 90s and I just thought we’ve reached the max of minimalism.
I don’t know what price point draws the line between budget and high end but for $1000 my Marantz PM7000N is a great, versatile integrated amp and offers a lot of different musical options. I’d say the only downside is no HDMI but I use it solely for music so it fits my needs very well. The knobs could be better quality.
As always a great review! Appreciate the effort you and Kristi put into all your reviews. For my personal small listening space in the house, i.e. too many kids!. I purchased the Sony STR DH-190 based on your review for a dedicated, reasonably price 2 channel system. Do you feel this be a significant upgrade in sound quality? My sound source is my PC, which, at times I feel the sound quality a little lack luster to say the least. My thought is the the built in DAC along with the other features would remedy this, but I may be misguided.
My fav integrated...Loxjie A30. Powerful Class-D amp product that doesn't sound like a Class-D product. Detailed power and transparency without harshness. Full set of in/outputs. It drives a pair of Emotiva B1+ speakers very well in a near-field arraignment. Very decent sound for under $200. Nice remote as well. This has a small footprint which is great for desktop use. The size of the TA-1 is what ruled it out for my application but I like the specs.
Ive been rocking a Yamaha AV (RXv685) for everyday use and love the sound (straight mode is bliss)...so when my buddy got the Yamaha S501 I had to check it out and loved it...the sound is great, very close to what I am used to hearing and I found it very appealing. For my next 2 channel set up I am probably going with one in that line.
I was attracted by your description of this product because I like sound with forward mid and high range. I'm looking for a integrated with these same characteristics that can power 4 Fluance XL8-s speakers in two zones with separate volume control and source capability. I would like to stay around $600. Do you have any recommendations?
Great review, as always. I’m considering either the Musical Fidelity 5, the Yamaha AS-1200 or the budget separates BaseX2 line for my (one and done) system. Be curious about your suggestion I should go. Speakers are Definitive -90 sensitivity rating and run at 6 ohms. Thanks again!
I love the AXR100. The only downside is the poor bluetooth reception. It's only good for about 6 - 8 feet and cuts out even if I lean back on my couch ever so slightly with my phone. The Cambridge Audio ebay store regularly has good deal for the refurbished BTW. I got mine for $300.
I know it's been awhile since you've reviewed this integrated amp; however, I have this paired with Emotiva's B2+ bookshelf. Would you say the phono stage within is better than the IFI Zen Phono? I purchased the IFI afterward and if I'm being honest with myself, seems there is more noise with the IFI than without.
I have the Outlaw in my main system. Emotiva for the bedroom. If you can afford it go with the Outlaw. BTW. Can't speak to the phono stage in the Outlaw. Phono In the Emotiva excellent.
Another great review. For what it's worth to whoever is looking. The Cambridge pairs beautifully with BWs and it looks great. Vocals, guitar, piano, and strings in general sound very very good (in my opinion). So if you already have some 'lively' speakers I would definitely give the Cambridge a try. My 2 cents 🙂
My story is too complicated to tell in a few lines, but there are a NUMBER of GOOD Used Deals for Pre-Amps if you remember to listen to Reviewers who say this...., The Video Section is GOOD, but the AUDIO SECTION is GREAT! There are $2 and $3 Thousand Dollar pcs of Equipment for a $100 bucks if you just want a Great Stereo Pre-Amp and can just forget about the fact they were originally made for Surround Sound Systems. MANY of these pcs have a great DACS built into them increasing their Value and their SOUND. Just saying this might apply to AMPS too, but my real experience is based on Pre-Amps.
Emotiva is out of always out of stock on nearly everything, which is a good thing for my marriage and my credit balance. The SVS Soundbase is an excellent budget doodad, in answer to your question. The volume is too sensitive. And it needs a remote. But otherwise...yeah. $400 open box and done :) Edit--it's driving my Wharfey Evo 4.3's
Hi Andrew, Christie, I love your reviews. Always very thorough, a unique format with a pinch of fun. A fresh air in the audiophile reviews world. I am planning to buy the Sonus Faber Lumina II and I was thinking to connect those speakers with Emotiva BasX PT1 Stereo Preamplifier + BasX A2 Stereo Amplifier. Based on your assessment of the BasX TA1 paired with the Lumina, I am not sure it’s the best solution. What do you think? What would be in case an alternative preamp+amp or integrated amp around $1000 to drive at best the Lumina II? Thanks for your advice.
Great video, I really like Emotiva products, so I'm curious about this one. I would love to see you review the PT1 by itself, and try this amp with Emotiva speakers, as they are usually voiced pretty neutral. Also, give the guys some slack. Emotiva at its core is a hometheater brand, aka sturdy, black, in the rack, so they tend to keep it simple.
Great review. Very detailed and entertaining. Learned so much about audiophile. My current old integrated amp gave up on me. I was looking anything below 1500 integ amp that would replace it. My speakers are klh L5, s400, ls50, lsim 703 and unifi ub5. Need your wisdom bro. More power to your channel.
I was thinking...if it brings a laid back speaker more forward, what would it sound like with those big hunkin Klipsch spks. (the model escapes me at the moment). As far as the QOTD- The NAD 317 or 319, as long as they are within original specs. It's A/B, so there's that, but, the dynamics from these models, pre- BEE era, are very impressive. With my listening tastes, harder rock and roll, things can get to stadium levels of volume and still sound extremely well. Great review, to you both.
Video idea: vlog Andrew behind the scenes setting up the speakers (toe in, room corrections) then he could let us in on his go-to tracks and what one should be listening for (sibilance, muddy bass) and the parings so a wider audience can understand how to audition speakers. A spin on your very popular "How to set up Home Theater" video but a little less work to produce, idk... maybe?
Having VU meters would elevate their dated aesthetics. I requested it on their amps. Not sure why more products don’t use them. Are they that expensive?
They would be more expensive to include during manufacturing and they are mechanical so the fear is that they’re something that can break. Not likely but a higher chance than a strip of LED’s. I mean who really needs either? Meters are important when recording but on playback they’re just bling.
Sean Vedell I love the bling lol I think that’s a big part of the appeal of McIntosh. I’d be willing to pay a few hundred more for VUs. I wish you could configure the amps, the way you can a car.
I have enjoyed hearing the Cambridge and Marantz opening integrated, but I have always gone for integrated A/V that are more middle of the price range and up.
Great review. I have no experience with integrated amplifiers. Would this pre-amp feature pair well with the Klipsch Fives, or is it unnecessary? Love your channel, as always.
You don't need a preamp with the Fives as their preamp is already built in. If you own the Fives you only need to be shopping for say a turntable, TV or CD player/streamer.
I really enjoy your vids. I especially like the back and forth opinions between Andrew and Kristi. Have y’all explored raspberry pi/Volumio streaming solutions? The set up is fairly straightforward, the flexibility is amazing, and the value is staggering. Plus it offers an easy way to get Tidal connect to any system in the house(yes you have to subscribe to the service to get Tidal Commect but it’s far cheaper than an option like Rune). For the QOTD, I absolutely love my Reisong Yu Lu M2 from China HiFi. At just over $200 shipped it runs circles around either Marantz receiver and is on par with my aged Jolida 202a. At 8watts and just two inputs, it might not be for everyone, but in my room and with my speakers, it slays.
You two are the best! I'm still leaning to the A11 Tribute. Do you think most of the A11 Tribute 'magic' lies in its circuitry/pre amp, or amplifier section? Do you think the Tribute's enhancements are mostly defeated if I were to use a separate amp instead like an Emotiva Basx?
Another great review. I have the Sony Dh 190 . I’m saving to move up into Hegel or Technics SU-700 territory. Hopefully you will be able to review a Hegel soon?…and then compare these 2 products.
Have it and love it. Speakers are still the mystery but, if you can snag a pair of Tekton Lore (any model) that would certainly help. Is there anyway to help you get a pair of the Tekton to review? Fantastic stuff as always. Good luck searching out that perfect home.
Emotiva A-2 , paired with most anything, ha . 160-2, very low distortion, dynamic, neutral, improving over the the Really good, 300.For me it's a no brainer, considering price point 😁🤘❤️... 😲 Emotiva is killing it! Can't wait to hear it with my amazing B-52 Elac unified, right now I have the also very good Pioneer thx94 Elite receiver 09 model, it's 7-140,Blk piano gloss, beautiful 😁 so right now iam good, may use the A-2 as a integrated with my Pioneer. What do you think? Power level, per channel to close, 140vs 160? But it is 14 yrs old!? Thinking maybe lower distortion, better Dynamics, just technically better, because 09 vs 2022. Any thoughts? Kinda leaning, yes. But do I really need to? 450.00 really is pretty good! Opinions would be helpful, thanks! 😁
Thanks for another excellent review. I like it when you do budget friendly equipment. Any chance that you’ll be reviewing the Outlaw Audio RR2160 Mk 2 integrated? I’m intrigued by the amount of features and power but haven’t heard anything on how it sounds. Would also love to hear what you think of it’s aesthetics.
