I’ve been looking at recipes for the liquid and you’re the only one I’ve seen that uses liquid castel soap-game changer. A few years ago I mixed the dry powders with grated bar soap, and never felt like it cleaned at all. Now I believe I wasn’t using enough, because all those doing recipes never gave a use amount recommendation. So I’m back at it. Many thanks for making the very simple!
Yes, the liquid Castile makes it sooooo easy! I definitely use more than what people recommend but my family's laundry is dirtier than most 😉 I hope it works good for you, Sandi!
Residue may be hard water contaminants like calcium and magnesium that formed precipitates with borax and washing soda, both of which are water softeners.
Yes! Most of the ingredients are known to be harmful which is so...infuriating. I try to stay away from those chemicals as much as possible, even though it can be extremely difficult in our modern lives. We naively think that, "they wouldn't sell things in the store that are harmful" but oh how wrong we are to think that.
