Quick color was like that, try turning it upside down and taking out a bit of pressure and solvent, also try a Boston Fat... this helped for quick color, havent tried the HDX yet, the flat blacks are usually are thats worth it... flat black kilz cap fills on cheap paint goes hard

Are the valves female? Like do they take regular caps, unlike rusto where you have to use special female caps?

I remember Ace Hardware had a paint that was identical to Krylon back in the day… same valve and pressure as the Old school Krylon cans. NY fats worked superb with the Ace Hardware cans. They were a little limited on colors just having the primary colors. I believe they continued to use the old valve system even after Krylon and Rusto stopped using them. It’s been at least 10 years since I used Ace Hardware paint but around 2013 they still was selling that paint and still using the old female valves on the cans. Not sure if today they still use the female valves on their cans or have switched over but it would be worth checking out for some of you that want that old school experience of the American domestic spray paint working like the old Krylon.

@@1rowoner yeah maybe Ace brand changed their valves also but I remember it was good back in 2013. As I said… it’s been a long time since I’ve used that brand. Next time I go there I’ll check the cans to see if they also changed their valve system.
