Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more as the Redneck Preppy ventures back into the world of cheap chinese outdoors gear with an electric fish hook tier courtesy of the honest merchants of Wish.com. Will it actually tie line onto fish hooks? The Redneck Preppy is dubious but he has been pleasantly surprised before.

I will say the first hook you used.. would be classed as a very large hook in Europe. plus I think it designed for spade hooks not eyed. See if you can get a hold of a euro size 12 spade hook and try again

Yeah, I knew I was pushing it with the first hook -- I figured it would be a place to start though given that anglers do use them after all. At any rate, I will try and find one of those hooks and if I can I will make a follow-up video. Thanks for the tip!

Would not trust this for bass and salt fishing. I can see that the knots would hold and why trust it.There some wonderfull knoting manually operational

The 1st end of the string is to long...pull back a little let it about 2 inch... Goodluck👍

Well, it turns out I wasn't using the right hooks, the ones with spade ends. When I get some with those, I'll give this another try.

You did not push the hook down far enough, the bent hook is also an issue try using a straight shank hook

Had I pushed the hook down any further it would have went through the unit :-) That said, I will be following up at some point with another video where I try other kinds of hooks.

I think you are right, it is pretty crap. It did not help that mine came with instructions written in Chinese and very poor pictures. I learnt how to use it on another RU-vid video but as you said it is really only good for eyeless hooks.

I am going to have to test it with spade hooks and see how well it works in that instance.
